As stated in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Remember, God changed His mind about destroying Nineveh when they repented and turned back to Him. Therefore, there is always the hope that God will change His mind, for with God all things are possible.
