  • God Remembered Rachel (Student/Study Guide)

    $15.99

The women of the Old Testament are brought to life afresh in this compelling and sensitive retelling of their stories in a feminist and Christian context. Williams both celebrates affirming texts and tackles the challenge of difficult ones. Her wide-ranging treatment of varied stories about very different women reveal the rich tapestry of interweaving texts about women contained in the Old Testament and the patriarchal agendas that shaped them. Whilst they belong to a different time, culture and set of values, Williams draws out their evergenerative capacity to afford us insight for today’s church and world’ Katharine Dell, Fellow and Director of Studies in Theology, University of Cambridge ‘Some of these texts delight, some horrify, and some perplex, but under Williams careful tutelage we are challenged to reflect afresh on how it is these texts continue to address us today’ David G. Firth, Lecturer in Old Testament and Director of Research, St John’s College Nottingham.

  • Planetary Solidarity : Global Womens Voices On Christian Doctrine And Clima

    $39.00

Planetary Solidarity brings together leading Latina, womanist, Asian American, Anglican American, South American, Asian, European, and African woman theologians on the issues of doctrine, women, and climate justice. Because women make up the majority of the world’s poor and tend to be more dependent on natural resources for their livelihoods and survival, they are more vulnerable when it comes to climate-related changes and catastrophes. Representing a subfield of feminist theology that uses doctrine as interlocutor, this book ask how Christian doctrine might address the interconnected suffering of women and the earth in an age of climate change.

While doctrine has often stifled change, it also forms the thread that weaves Christian communities together. Drawing on postcolonial ecofeminist/womanist analysis and representing different ecclesial and denominational traditions, contributors use doctrine to envision possibilities for a deep solidarity with the earth and one another while addressing the intersection of gender, race, class, and ethnicity. The book is organized around the following doctrines: creation, the triune God, anthropology, sin, incarnation, redemption, the Holy Spirit, ecclesiology, and eschatology.

Contributors include: Ivone Gebara, Fulata Moyo, Melanie Harris, Sallie McFague, Sharon Bong, Nancy Pineda-Madrid, Heather Eaton, Cynthia Moe-Lobeda, Barbara Rossing, and many other fine woman liberationists.

  • Shes Still There Study Guide (Student/Study Guide)

    $12.99

Poor decisions, a lack of intentionality or planning, or a long-term denial of deep hopes and dreams can leave a woman, old or young, reeling from the realization that she is lost, disappointed, or simply numb. What’s a woman to do, if her life is not taking shape the way that she thought that it would despite all of the knowledge available and possibly even consumed? What happens when she looks at herself in the mirror, lingering just a little longer than usual and realizes that she no longer recognizes the person staring back at her? What does she do when she sees that, somehow, her life has drifted away from her hopes, dreams, or plans? How does she find the part of herself that she’s lost and realign her daily actions to the system of belief to which she subscribes? In this six-session study, Chrystal Evans Hurst will walk alongside women to simply hold their hand, to cheer them on, and to believe with them that they’re capable of still being the person she intended to be or discovering the girl she never knew was there in the first place. In each session, Chrystal will help women aim for godly womanhood, focusing not so much on a program, plan, or prize but instead shining the light on the journey. In this study guide, group discussion material and personal study questions emphasize the importance of the personal process and the beauty of that path as it is shared authentically from one girlfriend to another. It’s one thing to “know” you were created and designed for a purpose and have the power to reach the potential that lies within. It’s another thing to “do” what you were created to do. This study guide is designed to use with the She’s Still There DVD (sold separately).

    $15.99

Something in us aches for more-more hope, more joy, more freedom. All around us people are dancing to the steps of bigger, better, and faster, and we can easily join in without even realizing it. Before long complaining and comparing accompany our desire for more, yet we’re not any closer to filling the ache inside. God offers us another way. In this study of the Book of Numbers, we’ll find a group of people that wandered in the desert for forty years, unable to enter the Promised Land because of their complaining, grumbling, and lack of faith. The New Testament tells us that their story was written to warn us (1 Corinthians 10:6) so that we would not make the same mistakes and suffer the same consequences. God sent His only Son to die to buy our freedom from the sin that leads to discontentment, and we find our own promised land of peace and contentment in the life He gives us. By exploring Numbers we can come to identify the reasons for our complaining, learn contentment while being authentic about the difficulties of life, accept short-term hardship in light of the greater good of God’s ultimate deliverance, recognize the relationship between complaining and worry, and discover how to realign with God’s character and promises. Together we will learn contentment as we discover more of our incredible God who truly is more than enough. Only He can fill that ache inside and help us focus on His provision and purpose in the midst of life’s joys and pains. • Womans Place

    $19.99

The managing editor of Christianity Today and founder of the popular Her.meneutics blog encourages women to find joy in vocation in this game-changing look at the importance of women and work.
Women today inhabit and excel in every profession, yet many Christian women wonder about the value of work outside the home. And in circles where the traditional family model is highly regarded, many working women who sense a call to work find little church or peer support.
In A Woman s Place, Katelyn Beaty, print managing editor of Christianity Today and cofounder of Her.meneutics, insists it s time to reconsider women s work. She challenges us to explore new ways to live out the Scriptural call to rule over creation in the office, the home, in ministry, and beyond.
Starting with the Bible s approach to work including the creation story, the Proverbs 31 woman, and New Testament models Beaty shows how women s roles in Western society have changed; how the work-home divide came to exist; and how the Bible offers models of women in leadership. Readers will be inspired by stories of women effecting dynamic cultural change, leading institutions, and living out grand and beautiful vocations.
Far from insisting that women must work outside the home, Beaty urges all believers into a better framework for imagining career, ambition, and calling. Whether caring for children, running a home, business, or working full-time, all readers will be inspired to live in a way that glorifies God.
Sure to spark discussion, A Woman s Place is a game-changing look at the importance of work for women and men alike.”

  • Woman Overwhelmed : Finding God In The Messes Of Life

    $18.99

A Woman Overwhelmed is a term with which many women can relate. But what would happen if we could see the insanity in our pace and embrace the overwhelming Spirit of God? There is a reason they say that a woman’s work is never done- because it isn’t! As women, we often are overwhelmed by the demands and circumstances of life, resulting in stress, fear, worry, impatience, fatigue, frustration, and even depression. The truth is that we were created to be overwhelmed . . . not by life but by God! When we learn to be overwhelmed by God, the fruit in our lives goes from rotten to fragrant-filling our days with peace, hope, love, and joy. In A Woman Overwhelmed, best-selling author Hayley DiMarco shares biblical insights and personal stories to offer a glimpse at the comedy of an overwhelmed life while encouraging us to discover the depths of God’s love. Be empowered to find freedom in becoming overwhelmed with who God is-by learning to “treasure in our hearts” what we know about God so that we can hold onto faith even when it seems that all is lost. For it is when an overwhelmed woman gives up the mission of me and exchanges it for the mission of God that being overwhelmed becomes a good thing. Choose to bask in the abundance of the Father instead of the abundance of life as his unfathomable depths can surely replace our fathomable messes.

  • Guide Your Mind Guard Your Heart Grace Your Tongue

    $16.99

Christian women tend to have regrets the size of Mount Rushmore. They regret how they have used their time; they regret how they have spent their money; they regret how much chocolate they have eaten; and most of all, they regret the hurtful words they have spoken to the people they love the most and know the best.

Every woman with a heart that beats has spoken words “under the influence” of warped feelings and slurred thinking. And every woman wishes that she had the magical power to take those words back. This book may just be the solution.

Carol McLeod reveals that before the words are spoken, they brew in the heart and are formed in the mind. It’s our thoughts and emotions that determine what words will come out our mouths. Guide Your Mind, Guard Your Heart, Grace Your Tongue is an innovative blueprint that will enable all women to take back control of their minds and feelings in order to grace their tongues. You won’t find pat answers here, but rather powerful strategies based on the Word of God to reroute disordered thinking and cure rotten emotions so your words can be humbly grateful instead of grumbly hateful.

What’s a woman to do if her life is not taking shape the way that she thought that it would? What happens when she looks at herself in the mirror, lingering just a little longer than usual and realizes that she no longer recognizes the person staring back at her? What does she do when she sees that, somehow, her life has drifted away from all her original hopes, dreams, or plans? Speaker, blogger and writer Chrystal Evans Hurst wrote this book because she was that woman. One day she realized that she had somehow wandered away from the life that she had purposed to live a long time ago. Chrystal since discovered that this moment of awareness happens to lots of women at different seasons of their lives. Poor decisions, a lack of intentionality or planning, or a long-term denial of deep hopes and dreams can leave a woman, old or young, reeling from the realization that she is lost, disappointed, or simply numb. And she just needs encouragement. This woman simply needs someone to hold her hand, to cheer her on, and to believe with her that she is capable of still being the person she intended to be or discovering the girl she never knew was there in the first place. Chrystal uses her poignant story of an early and unexpected pregnancy, as well as other raw and vulnerable moments in her life, to let readers know she understands what it’s like to try and find your way after some missteps or decisions you didn’t plan on. In She’s Still There Chrystal emphasizes the importance of the personal process and the beauty of that path as it is shared authentically from one girlfriend to another. It’s a book of “me toos”, reminders of the hoped for, and challenges for the path ahead-to find direction, purpose, and true satisfaction.

Expert, practical help for women who preach or lead worship

Many women preachers and worship leaders have trouble speaking; they struggle to fully use their physical voices. Maintaining that there is often a disconnect between the woman’s self-understanding as a preacher and her own body, Nancy Lammers Gross presents not only techniques but also a theologically empowering paradigm shift to help women fully embody their God-given preaching vocations.

Grounding her work in the biblical story of Miriam, Gross begins with a discussion of how women are instrumental in the work of God. She then tells stories, including her own, of women’s experiences in losing connection to their bodies and their physical voices. Finally, Gross presents a constructive resolution with exercises for discovering and developing a full-body voice.

  • Learning Contentment : A Study For Ladies Of Every Age

    $12.00

We tend to think being “stressed out” is a normal state of affairs, and that contentment means sitting back and just bottling things up. For the Christian, however, contentment is something we must apply, work at, and make our own in every circumstance, because anxiety and frustration are not neutral behaviors.

It is certainly easier to just go with our natural impulses when times are “annoying” or when times are very hard, but contentment is an important part of our Christian life. Even the apostle Paul had to “learn” contentment. So we shouldn’t wonder why we’re still in spiritual kindergarten-repeating the same lessons over and over again-if we haven’t given ourselves to study contentment.

Thankfully, every test God gives on contentment is open book (even the pop quizzes!). In Learning Contentment, Nancy Wilson looks to the Bible and Puritans like Burroughs, Rutherford, Watson, and Spurgeon to help us develop the practical, spiritual strength and the perspective that comes from contentment’s deep satisfaction with the will of God.

This encouraging little book includes concise explanations, application questions and assignments that will involve and challenge everyone, and lots of biblical wisdom for individuals and groups.

  • Start With Amen

    $18.99

One power-packed word: amen. Millions of Christians all over the world say this word every day. Yet few realize what richness, depth, truth, and connection are packed into this sacred phrase. Throughout the centuries, Christian tradition has taught us to end prayers with amen. But the Bible is full of stories and passages where God’s people started their prayers with amen. Why? As Beth Guckenberger shows, amen is more than just a way to punctuate a conversation with the God of the Universe. Amen is a declaration of who God is and who we are in relation to him. It is a moment of submission and worship, saying “So be it” to a Sovereignty that holds all things, and acknowledging “It is as you say” to him who holds our lives. In Amen, Beth unpacks all the Bible has to teach us about the moment we say amen to God. Using key scripture passages mixed with fresh teaching and personal stories, she invites readers to experience the richness they’ve been missing. Amen is more than just a word. Amen is a full invitation from God packed with all that he requires from us and all he longs to bestow upon us as his beloved children. As Beth writes, “He is beckoning us all. Come to me. Learn my ways. You are my child, whom I dearly love and bought with a price. The God of Amen rescued you so you can echo amen back to him. God intended this word to be a moment of intimacy, drenched in reverence, replete with peace-the moment when you rest in him and are rejuvenated by him. There is so much more he wants to give. Amen.” If Christians long to be truly connected to their Creator, they must begin with amen. For, as Isaiah 65:16 says, “Because he who is blessed in the earth will be blessed by the God of Amen.”

    20 Chapters

    Additional Info
What does a dream sound like? “The first time the sound of a dream slammed, hard, in the center of my spirit, was almost a decade ago. It’s the sound that has led me on the journey whose threads are pulled through this book, an intimate journey that I’ve often struggled to comprehend; it’s been unlike anything else I’ve ever known. It happened in a coffee shop during my thirtieth year, and in less than two hours it would cause me to listen to my life anew.” In these pages writer and speaker Suanne Camfield writes of the varied dreams that she has pursued over the course of her life. With captivating and eloquent stories and concepts, she guides us through what it feels like to have a stirring deep inside of us-and how God guides and shapes us through that sense of calling. This is not a book primarily about vocation or even discernment. It is a book about being a dreamer who is shaped by God. It is about having the wisdom and courage to step into the places of our most vulnerable longing.

  • And Still She Laughs

    $19.99

Kate Merrick examines the Bible’s gritty stories of resilient women as well as her own experience losing a child-a journey followed by more than a million on prayfordaisy.com-to reveal the reality of surprising joy and deep hope even in the midst of heartache. Kate Merrick faced the crippling grief that life can bring when her five-year-old daughter was diagnosed with cancer. Three and a half years of suffering followed, accompanied by fervent prayer, hospital stays, emotional agony, and teeth-grinding fear. And in the end, her baby girl was gone. How was Kate to believe again, to hope again?

To find out, she turned to stories in the Bible of real women who dealt with pain and survived. How did Sarah, after twenty-five years of achingly empty arms, learn in the end to laugh without bitterness? How did Bathsheba, defiled by the king who then had her husband killed, come to walk in strength and dignity, to smile without fear of the future? In And Still She Laughs, Merrick writes poignantly and transparently about finding joy in sorrow and shows how we-just like the ordinary women seen in the Bible-can rise above unbearable circumstances and live fully. In the middle of whatever hardships we face, we can smile, cry, and come away full-laughing without fear and eagerly looking for what is to come.

Building on her work from Volumes I and II, Allen draws on four “communities of discourse” – Academic, Humanist, Religious, and Satirical – and she traces several recurring strands of sex and gender identity from the Renaissance to the present. Now complete, Allen’s magisterial study will be a valuable resource for scholars and students in the fields of women’s studies, philosophy, history, theology, literary studies, and political science.

  • Silver Lining : A Practical Guide For Christian Grandmothers

    $15.00

At last, a practical, Christian guide for grandmothers — and for younger women preparing for that stage of life! Since our culture is in love with immaturity, advice written for “older” women can tend to focus on changes: empty nests, new priorities, grown children getting married, etc. But the Bible tells us to focus on the things that don’t change: In all seasons of life, God has good works prepared in advance for us to walk in. And whether you’re a young woman, married, unmarried, widowed, middle-aged, or a great-grandma, you never quit exercising that faith in Christ.

Grandkids and getting older, dinners and hospitality, mentorship and being an “in-law” all come with their own stretches of bumpy road, but faith and joy (and a little of Nancy Wilson’s practical advice) go a long way. Women travelling through this season should be thinking in terms of family legacy — and in terms of eternity — as they seek godly wisdom, great joy, and a silver-haired crown of glory.

From the time Kim Crabill experienced a life altering trauma at age four, she became an expert in hiding her hurt and confusion behind a mask. The trick, she discovered, was to sing a little louder in choir, study a little harder at school, and smile a little wider with friends. Then no one would notice how damaged her heart was. She became a classic overachiever academically and socially. As an adult, she could even speak before crowds with her mask fully in tact. But she could not hide from the pain of her past, and pain that expressed itself through anorexia and diet pill addiction, loneliness, depression, and anxiety attacks. In her transparent and gripping story, Burdens to Blessings, Kim invites you along her journey from shame and sadness toward healing and hope. In the process you’ll encounter the upside- down truth that God uses you because of your hurt and uncertainty. The very things you regret the most-the things you hope no one ever discovers about you-are what God wants to use to enrich your life and the lives of others around you. $14.99

Most of us live our lives at a breakneck pace. We spend our days working at our jobs, taking care of our families, and serving others in our lives. All of this effort can, at times, leave us feeling overworked, overextended, and-if we are really honest with ourselves-underappreciated. It’s during these times that we especially need to experience the love of God. This is a tender sort of love that can thaw our hearts, cheer our dispositions, and remind us what this life is really about. Yet it is also a tough sort of love in that it calls us to examine ourselves and lead the kind of lives that God wants us to lead. In this study, readers will look at key passages in the Bible that speak about this kind of love, how they can get it from the Source, and what it calls them to do. They will also discover the precious nature of this love that God holds out to them and how they can receive with their whole hearts.

The Bible is filled with stories of people who took one action or another because they heard the voice of God. Noah heard God tell him to build an ark. Moses heard God say from a burning bush that he was to deliver the Israelites from Egypt. The shepherds were told to look for the promised Messiah lying in a manger. Today, we know that God was actually speaking to these people because we know the outcomes of their stories. But how do we know when God is actually speaking to us? How do we know what he wants us to do? In this study, readers will learn how to recognize the voice of God through his Word, through “quiet nudgings” in their spirit, and even through the wise counsel of others. They will also discover how God’s voice always calls them to know him more, to be obedient to him, to wait on his perfect timing, and to always have faith in him.

Even if it is something we have accomplished before, we can still lose confidence at times that we are up to the task. In this study, readers will come to understand that the way to survive these moments of insecurity is to understand their true God-given gifts and strengths, rehearse God’s acts of faithfulness, and receive encouragement from others. Most of all, they will discover that true strength comes from leaning on God in all situations and using their gifts to shine his light and glory to the world around them.

  • Eve In Exile

    $16.00

The swooning ladies of the Victorian Age and the suburban housewives of the 1950s genuinely needed to be liberated. That much is indisputable. So, First-Wave feminists held rallies for women’s suffrage. Then, Second-Wave feminists marched for Prohibition, jobs, and abortion. Today, Third-Wave feminists stand firmly for nobody’s quite sure what. But the modern woman-who uses psychotherapeutic drugs at a rate never before seen in history-needs liberating now more than ever. The truth is, feminists don’t know what liberation is. They have led us into a very boring dead end.

Eve in Exile sets aside all stereotypes of mid-century housewives, of china-doll femininity, of Victorians fainting, of women not allowed to think for themselves or talk to the men about anything interesting or important. It dismisses the pencil-skirted and stiletto-heeled executives of TV, the outspoken feminists freed from all that hinders them, the brave career women in charge of their own destinies. Once those fictionalized stereotypes are out of the way-whether they’re things that make you gag or things you think look pretty fun-Christians can focus on real women. What did God make real women for?

Stephanie Buckhanon Crowder provides an engaging womanist reading of mother characters in the Old and New Testaments. After providing a brief history of womanist biblical interpretation, she shows how the stories of several biblical mothers-Hagar, Rizpah, Bathsheba, Mary, the Canaanite woman, and Zebedee’s wife-can be powerful sources for critical reflection, identification, and empowerment. Crowder also explores historical understandings of motherhood in the African American community and how these help to inform present-day perspectives. She includes questions for discussion with each chapter.

  • Its Not Fair

    $18.99

Hey, you. Are you debating whether to destroy something with your bare hands or curl up on the couch for a decade or two?

This book will solve all of your problems. (Sheesh, that’s aiming a bit high.)

This book is a cup of hot coffee, a ginormous bar of chocolate, or the magical fairy that comes over and does your dishes while you lie in the fetal position clutching a fluffy pillow. Sometimes when life falls apart the only acceptable response is hysterical laughter. When things get so far gone, so spectacularly a world away from any plans you made or dreams you dreamed, you feel it bubbling up inside of you and you scream, “It’s not fair!” And it isn’t. Fair is an illusion, and life is weird.

This book will help you laugh at life’s absurd backhands. This book is an empathetic groan of our collective unfairnesses. You might want to throw it across the room, and you might want to hug it like your new best friend. This book is about us sitting down together in our shared mess, taking a deep breath, gripping hands, looking the hard stuff in its beady little eyeballs, and bahahahaaing at it.

Life’s not fair, but we can learn to love this life we didn’t choose.

  • 1st Corinthians Womens Bible Study Participant Book (Student/Study Guide)

    $17.99

Relationships are messy. We’re all different and imperfect, and we can struggle to get along–especially with those who disagree with us. Often we find ourselves divided–even as Christians. How can we work out our differences and disagreements with humility and grace, always showing the love of Christ, while still remaining true to what we believe? The Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians living in Corinth about this very thing. The cultural backdrop of Corinth was even more overtly sinful than our culture today, yet Paul boldly encouraged the Corinthian Christians not to ridicule one another or outsiders but to work together to show the love of Christ. In this six-week study we will explore Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians to learn how we as Christians are to deal with differences and divisions–whether in the workplace, neighborhood, school, home, social media community, or church. We’ll discover that the answer is living and sharing the radical love of Jesus Christ, and we’ll unpack what this means and how we can live it out day by day. The Participant Book includes five days of lessons for each week, combining study of Scripture with personal reflection, application, and prayer.

  • Uninvited : Living Loved When You Feel Less Than Left Out And Lonely

    $16.99

The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. When we allow him to speak lies through our rejection, he pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of Christ’s powerful love. In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences with rejection-from the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father to the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over. With biblical depth, gut-honest vulnerability, and refreshing wit, Lysa helps readers: Release the desire to fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process their hurt. Know exactly what to pray for the next ten days to steady their soul and restore their confidence. Overcome the two core fears that feed our insecurities by understanding the secret of belonging. Stop feeling left out and start believing that “set apart” does not mean “set aside.” End the cycle of perceived rejection by refusing to turn a small incident into a full blown issue.

  • Giving God Your Future

Sometimes we wonder why God seems more like an acquaintance than a friend to us. What changes a life of nodding acquaintance to one of personal intimacy? In a word, dependence. Once we’re willing to trust God in every situation, seek His opinions over any others, trust Him in every circumstance, and do what he would do, the relationship we long for deepens, strengthens, and becomes vibrant. This study takes a look at what the Bible says about trusting God enough to give Him our all and being able to say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” We’ll see that only He can empower us to live a life like that, and as we give Him our all, He gives us everything we need to have an intimate, growing, personal relationship with Him.

    $12.99

Prayer isn’t some kind of requirement for believers. It is a privilege! Prayer is our path to the adventure of building a relationship with our Savior. Through prayer the Creator of everything stoops to hear the lisping of toddlers. The Sustainer of every living thing hears the groans and sighs of the aging. He is aware of every thought, every choice, every move we make—but He is waiting for us to turn to Him and tell Him about it. In this study readers will explore journaling prayers, prayer attitudes, and how to pray their way through a desert or a valley. They will get up close and personal in two-way conversations and learn how to survive—and yes, even enjoy—those times when they’re put on the spot to pray out loud. They will learn how God answers even when they can’t hear Him saying a thing and be reminded that they never grow so old they don’t need to take time to say “thank you.”

  • Women Of War Women Of Woe

    $38.99

This volume gathers the writings of thirty-five nineteenth-century women on the stories of women in Joshua and Judges. Recovering and analyzing neglected works by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and many others, Women of War, Women of Woe illuminates the biblical text, recovers a neglected chapter of reception history, and helps us understand and apply Scripture in our present context.

The stories of Rahab, Deborah, Jael, Delilah, Manoah’s wife, Achsah, Jephthah’s daughter, and the Levite’s concubine raised thorny questions for these female biblical interpreters – questions that they addressed candidly in their writings. Could a Victorian woman use her intelligence to negotiate like Rahab? Was the seemingly well-educated Deborah an appropriate role model? Or did Jephthah’s daughter more correctly model a pious woman’s life as she submitted to her father’s vow? The voices collected in this book offer thoughtful reflection on and responses to these questions and more.

Sometimes we plod through life with our head down and our back bent under the weight of our load. We feel unimpressive, unkempt, unappreciated, and unneeded. God doesn’t want to leave us staggering under such weight of discouragement. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much He does His best to cheer us up and cheer us on. In this study readers will learn how God planned ahead for all their gloomy days, how He knows just when they need a little lift, and how He has arranged for encouragement to be right there waiting for them. They will discover how encouragement comes from little miracles from God’s own hand, how it comes from knowing His promises, and how it comes from fellow believers as they reach out and touch one another’s lives.

“Running a Different Race” encourages women to be who God made them to be. Success is not measured by the speed at which we run a race, nor is it achieved by obtaining medals of gold, silver, or bronze. Rather, as women we will achieve success as we position ourselves to be obedient to the voice of God and embrace the discipline of our Heavenly Coach. We must not be distracted by whispers of doubt-both internally and externally-but enlarge our vision and focus on the goal.

Sonia Henry uses personal life stories and scriptures to uncover the disciplines required to enter and complete the race of life successfully.
