Life in our world has become so unpredictable and uncertain, that it has become hard to distinguish between real-life and make-believe. It’s time for God’s true people to “wake up,” and distance themselves as much as possible from the perils of a negative world; and take time to live a life filled with hope and promise. Putting our trust in God, loving and enjoying our families, respecting others and showing appreciation to our friends can put us in the frame of mind to continuously thank God for the precious time He has allowed us on this earth.

Train Up A Child
$20.61TRAIN UP A CHILD is a teacher education textbook for Christian parents engaged in laying the foundation for life and learning during the preschool years. It defines the meaning and purpose for education and provides a curriculum for the parents in developing the necessary educational awareness in all areas of learning. Following are several quotations that highlight the Christian character and Biblical worldview of both the author and the Book.
You have given birth to a one and only model, with a potential never before registered on earth, and now God also tells you that you are responsible to train up this little one in the way he should go-both for time and for eternity.
Teaching/Learning should begin in the womb and never cease.
Learning is (1) the acquisition of knowledge, (2) the structuring of the knowledge processing systems resulting in a proper understanding and use of knowledge, and (3) the structuring of the individual-building what we know as character.
The way he should go- is the path especially belonging to this child fitted for his individual characteristics.
A child must be systematically instructed, initiated in the way of life, from the earliest dawn of intelligence.
First, the parents must be characterized by their supreme love for God. Loving Him as LORD with all their hearts, with all their souls, and with all their might. This is the highest teaching credential for training children in the way they should go.
If you desire to raise your children to love and obey Jesus Christ then you must give prime attention to instilling a value system within their minds that is truly minted from the gold of heaven-values that have eternal meaning.
Think of it this way, God is trusting you to work with Him to conform your child into the likeness of Christ. This is the great goal, and reward for faithful parenting.

Mystery Of Jack
$19.98Although there have been several books written on the topic of Autism, The Mystery of Jack is a book of Hope and Excitement while coping with life’s new reality. The majority of books on this topic take a clinical approach and/or focuses on types of therapy, various diets, and the struggles of Autism. Basically, the books are focused strictly on Autism and not the physical and emotional impact it has on a family.
However, The Mystery of Jack’s primary focus is the parents (as viewed through the eyes of a father) and their adaptation to their newly defined world. The stories of the child (Jackson) are used to illustrate joy and happiness in areas of life often taken for granted. There are areas of sadness which is an unfortunate reality. But, the reader will experience an open and honest reflection of life’s new direction and how the joy or sadness is ultimately within their own control.Add to cartin stock within 3-5 days of online purchase

Think Kingdom Be Family
$24.98The Think Kingdom-Be Family Initiative (TKBF) is a biblically-grounded, research-based, and relationally-delivered discipleship approach to identify the elements that characterize missional families and to effectively mobilize them. Many families lack a corporate sense of mission. As a result, churches need to embrace the challenge of mobilizing families according to their collective identity and purpose in Christ and His mission. In the end, this qualitative research demonstrates that a new way of being and doing is possible through redemptive family wholeness, characteristics, and mobilization.

Marriage Matters
$8.99Marriage Matters. It matters to children and homes; neighborhoods and schools; communities and governments. It matters. And it will always matter. Today, marriages are declining at an alarming rate. We’ve all heard the statistic – 50% of marriages end in divorce, but do we ever ask why these marriages are ending?
Nobody enters into a marriage thinking “I’m part of that 50% that will end in divorce.” Wedding days are filled with beauty and the promise of a life filled with happiness. So what happens between the wedding day and the day the divorce papers are finalized? According to pastor and teacher Tony Evans, marriages deteriorate because we have lost sight of the purpose and joy of the marriage covenant.
Marriage Matters examines the nature of the relationship that people enter into on the wedding day. Dr. Evans looks to the Bible and defines what a covenant is, who makes it, and what the implications are. Chaos arises when we seek to do things our way, thus the need to align ourselves according to biblical standards of marriage. Let the practical and engaging Dr. Tony Evans lead you in knowing just how much Marriage Matters.

If God Be For Us
$15.61The Black Church will survive because it is all about faith and family. The Black Church is not simply a crowd of people that gather in a centralized location on Sunday mornings. For many, the Black Church is viewed as an extension of one’s immediate family. This extension of family is what gives the congregation a sense of community. I’m the grandson of a pastor. I grew up in the pews of the Baptist church. As a result, I have many mothers and aunts and uncles who are not blood relatives. But then again, they are blood relatives. They are my mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, uncle and aunt in the Lord. As our churches grow in number, we must also grow in ministry. The only way to do that is to grow in relationship one with the other.
The Black Church is a village. In the most traditional use of the word, villages are small groups of families who are situated together for sociability and defense. In the village, people look out for one another. In the village, there are many mothers and fathers. The village concept is such that the success of the individual is directly connected to the success of the group. Many Black Churches function as little villages. We help each other. We support each other. There is a sense of safety that the Black Church provides to Black communities. While all Black people do not attend Black Churches, the majority of Black families appreciate the proximity of this institution within its village. It is all about faith and family. The Black Church, the black family, will survive if God be for us.

Sacred Sex : Embracing Your Sexuality As God Designed It
$7.99Sex isn’t everything that the world makes it out to be. It’s more.
This is a book about sex, for those who think about it. And if we’re honest, that’s everyone. Sex dominates our popular culture to a degree we’ve never seen before. Our world tells us that our sexuality is ours to do with as we please. Perhaps you’ve heard the phrase YOLO – You Only Live Once! We’re meant to believe that since we only have one life, we should do whatever it is that we want with that life. But if we only have one of something, shouldn’t that mean that we treat it with care and use it as it was designed to be used? God tells us that our sexuality is valuable and needs to be treated as such. The unrestricted sex of our culture is only a shortcut to personal fulfillment and, sadly, a cheapened imitation of the real thing.
Pastor Tony Evans refuses to let the voice of God be drowned out amidst the clamor of the crowd. Crafting an argument that draws on everything from the basic science of hormones to the original Hebrew language used in the Bible to describe sex, you will discover why your sexuality is so important and why misusing it can be devastating.
Whether you are single or married, discover how to enjoy true intimacy – the real fulfillment and satisfaction that God intended.

In today’s society, when a mother delivers a baby, majority of the time, she is honored with gifts and verbal congratulations while the father is invisible because he did not physically birth the baby. There are thousands of books, conferences, workshops, and trainings opportunities for mothers who have experienced divorce, miscarriages, and classes dedicated to educating women on how to be a parent for the first time. Unfortunately, there are not many learning tools for fathers. Statistics show that when fathers are absent from the home, children are more likely to become involved in youth gangs, sexually abused, be illiterate, have low self-esteem, become homeless, and abuse drugs and alcohol.Emerson will take you on a journey from his delivery room experience, to a low point in his life where he made unsound decisions financially, emotionally, and spiritually. This book delves deep into topics such as:
* Fathers supporting their children’s education
* The importance of a father’s presence in the home and community
* Fathers dealing with their past issues
* Fathers building a bridge to reconcile with their children

Moms In Prayer
$18.99What principles enabled the concerned mom of two junior high school students to move from deciding she needed to pray for her kids at school to becoming the founder of a worldwide prayer movement called Moms In Prayer International? Fern Nichols is a passionate believer in the power of prayer. She knows that a regular habit of prayer can change things–can bring home wayward children, heal broken marriages, and provide answers to desperate situations. Prayer can also bring a new kind of peace and contentment no matter what hardships or disappointments we face. But most important, Fern knows that through prayer we can experience, firsthand, an ever-increasing intimacy with God. In Moms In Prayer, Fern Nichols reveals how she teaches women to pray in a way that changes their lives and the lives of those they love. She teaches the principles and practices that will not only revolutionize the way people think about prayer, but the way they do pray, leading them into a deeper intimacy with Jesus, who is always interceding on our behalf. Sparkling with real-life stories of God at work in the lives of praying moms, Fern introduces us to the four prayers that are the foundation of the Moms In Prayer approach to prayer:
*Praise–Praying according to the attributes of God
*Confession–Breaking strongholds
*Thanksgiving–Expressing a grateful heart
*Intercession–Standing in the gap with Jesus. What transforms these well-known elements of prayer into such a powerful force in Moms In Prayer International? Fern Nichols introduces a way of praying that energizes, creates an appetite for intimacy with God, overcomes spiritual paralysis, eliminates fear, unveils the heart and character of God, and transforms the pray-er’s life and perspective. She teaches how to pray effectively with others, how to prepare for the spiritual battles that swirl when prayer is on the move, how to persist in prayer in the face of hopelessness and despair, and how to use Scripture for effective prayer. God hears. God acts. God moves. God works.

Why Naked Women Look So Good
$12.95“The magnetism a man feels when he sees a woman’s body, that sensual urge, the surge of adrenaline, dopamine, and endorphins, isn’t only given for a man’s gratification, but to be channeled by a man to love his wife. In this ground-breaking book, Bill Perkins identifies eight reasons why men are attracted to a woman’s beauty. But he goes much further. Each answer to the question, why do naked women look so good, also reveals a woman’s fundamental need and helps a man know how to meet that need. By identifying eight vital needs of a woman, and showing a husband how to meet them, Perkins provides guidance to help a man become irresistible to his wife and for living more creatively and sensitively. Chapters are organized into three parts for easy reference. The first part provides one reason why naked women look so good. The second part identifies what need this reveals in a man’s wife. And in the third part, simple steps are provided to help a man love his wife in a way that strengthens her self-image, builds her confidence and allows her to more freely give herself to her husband-both emotionally and sexually.”

Fight Your Way To A Better Marriage
$17.99Based on years of counseling, research, and success stories, Dr. Greg Smalley teaches us how to use marital conflict as a way to deepen and strengthen our relationships.
Every married couple fights. But how you and your spouse deal with hot-button issues speaks volumes about the health of your marriage. Dr. Greg Smalley explains how conflict can provide an opportunity to break old, ineffective patterns and lead to greater trust (and intimacy) once you get to the other side. It can also reduce tension as emotions are vented and stress is released.
Smalley teaches that conflict is driven mostly by fear-the fear of being disrespected or taken for granted, the fear of powerlessness, and the fear of rejection or inadequacy. What can assuage these fears, he says, are intimacy, respect, validation, love, and connection. If conflict is poorly managed, issues can explode like a massive volcano, leaving spouses and family members in its wake of destruction.
Written with a candid and inspirational approach, Fight Your Way to a Better Marriage will give you all the practical answers, tips, exercises, and inspirational stories you need to have a fulfilling, happy, trusting, and intimate relationship.

Marriage Builder : Creating True Oneness To Transform Your Marriage
$21.10Bestselling author Larry Crabb cuts to the heart of the biblical view of marriage: the ‘one-flesh’ relationship. He argues convincingly that the deepest needs of human personality—security and significance—ultimately cannot be satisfied by a marriage partner. We need to turn to the Lord, rather than our spouse, to satisfy our needs. This frees both partners for ‘soul oneness,’ a commitment to minister to our spouse’s needs rather than manipulating them to meet our own needs. With ‘soul oneness’ comes renewed ‘body oneness,’ where couples enjoy sexual pleasure as an expression and outgrowth of a personal relationship.
The Marriage Builder also identifies three building blocks essential to constructing marriage: the grace of God, true marriage commitment, and acceptance of one’s mate. Discussion questions are included to aid couples who want to dig into it and apply the principles to their own lives and marriages. The Marriage Builder is for anyone who longs to transform marriage from trial to triumph.

Power Of A Parents Blessing
$15.99There are seven critical times in life at which God intends for every person to receive a powerful impartation from Him of identity and destiny. In the first six God uses parents, and in the seventh He uses adult children to impart blessing back to their parents.
The primary connotation of the Hebrew word baruch, “to bless,” is “to empower to prosper.” Thus, parents who bless their child at these six critical times literally empower the child to prosper, while parents who, through lack of knowledge, fail to bless-or actually curse-may spiritually and emotionally cripple the child.
Craig Hill answers key questions for each critical time in a child’s life, including:* What is the key identity and destiny question to be answered in the heart of the child?
* When is the appropriate time to bless?
* What are potential consequences of not blessing?
* What is the role of each parent in blessing at this specific time?
* What are practical tools to use in blessing?Blessing is a custom established by God and meant to function in every family. The Power of a Parent’s Blessing gives readers the practical tools by which they can experience the transformational blessings of God for themselves and their families.

Signature In Jet Age Parenting
$21.86The author, Jane Nwaogu, is a Nigerian, of Igbo decent, a mother, a teacher and a healthcare worker. She was born and raised by Christian parents in an ambiance of love and peace, with strong faith in God and respect to humanity. She learned cultural, moral and ethical values through the parents’ practical examples, teaching, support and direction. As a mother, she raised her children in the Igbo traditional environment and in multicultural cities. The author was also a classroom teacher and a high school principal. She communicated directly with children in the classroom and indirectly through their parents and guardians; offered academic counseling services to many children. The practical experiences with the children at home, in the classroom and during extra-curricula children’s activities, and during healthcare services to children gave her the opportunity to appreciate the clean and innocent nature of children. The inputs the internal and the external environmental factors offer to children directly and indirectly impact their lives, their thoughts and their actions. As a healthcare worker, the author took care of the rich, the poor and the middle class patients. She worked in multicultural environments, experienced families in their homes, their natural settings, worked in the hospitals, nursing homes mainly for the elderly, in group homes for the physically and the mentally challenged and also worked in patients private homes. The author had interacted with many families through work experiences as a teacher, a healthcare worker and as a mother, and has read parenting books written by researchers and authors. Media messages and the daily observed attitudes of some parents and children equally offer a wealth of experiences. And, from all these experiences, she noted troubling current trends in many families in the areas of divorce, single parenting, having multiple sex partners, teen pregnancy, child abuse, neglect and abandonment, and drug and alcohol use both by adults and minors. For families and parents to keep their strong holds, and for children to benefit from parenting, parents and care givers must have ‘eyes that see ‘ and ‘ears that hear’; they must be humble so that families will not stumble.

Stolen : A Daughters Chronology Of Alzheimers Disease And The Impact Of In
$34.36“What would you say if I told you that an insidious thief maybe lurking in your mind?”, asks author and advocate Lora D. King. Her compelling anecdote in STOLEN clearly reveals the impact of a robbery that occurs in the brain as a result of the theft. This bandit is commonly known as Alzheimer’s Disease. Also known as AD, it is a brain disease which steals a person’s memory, and causes alarming thinking and behavior problems that seriously impact cognitive and functional abilities to the point of requiring 24-hour care. Alzheimer’s Disease is a complex villain, and only recently have the clinical and scientific puzzles of AD started to come together. King is a strong advocate of the research that is key to stopping this kind of pillage in the brain, and how all of us should be vested in its termination by participating in research and clinical studies. AD is an equal opportunity burglar – and crosses all levels of class, racial, ethnic, and cultural boundaries. Thus making STOLEN a definite book to read for everyone! Not a sad and depressing story – it is warm, insightful, up-lifting, and a voice of hope – according to King, a retired social worker. Every morning her Dad wakes up and navigates another day, she genuinely sees it as a personal triumph because one of her most treasured social work principles – a strength-based concept, is being carried out. The focus here is a positive outlook on what patients can do, rather than concentrating on what they cannot do. King believes this is the foundation for her dad’s care, along with caregivers with a calling, and cleverly demonstrates how others can do the same. STOLEN ends on a surprisingly high note, with a commentary commencing her blog site, “Let’s Talk” in order to stay connected with her readers. Alzheimer’s Disease is no joke, to paraphrase Betty Davis who said, “Growing old is not for sissies.” Lora King is triumphant in her magical mix of storytelling and educational information about AD. If you are a baby boomer, primary caregiver or in-home-caregiver, then you need to read this book and share it with every caregiver you know. I should know, I’ve been primary caregiver to my mother for years. M.J. Miracle In A Mothers Hug
$9.99Female readers will readily embrace this gentle yet strong exploration of the power of motherhood. Helen Burns confides that “every prayer I prayed, every bedtime story I read, every tear I kissed away, every encouraging word I spoke, every promise I kept, every memory I made — all of these things truly mattered.”
Written in what she refers to as the “reward stage” of motherhood — when all the seeds she has sown are reaping harvest in the lives of her now-grown children — she rejoices that she can “fully understand the “why” behind the “what” in everything we do as mothers.”
Any mother will be refreshed as she is reminded of the value of the everyday miracles that result from expressing affection, being truly present in conversations, and demonstrating commitment in small ways.Add to cartin stock within 3-5 days of online purchase

Wounded Warrior Wounded Home (Reprinted)
$21.17For every wounded warrior, there is a wounded home–an immediate and extended family and community impacted by their loved one’s war experiences. Every day service members are returning from combat deployments to their families. And every day war comes home with them.
When a combat veteran struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI), every member of the family experiences the effects. Spouses, parents, and children must undergo changes on the home front, a process that resembles the phases of grief. Confusion, hurt, anger, guilt, fatigue, and fear lie behind their brave smiles and squared shoulders.
Wounded Warrior, Wounded Home gives hurting families a look inside the minds and hearts of wounded warriors and guides them in developing their own personal plan for physical, emotional, and spiritual wholeness in the wake of war. The authors, one the wife of a career US Navy SEAL and the other a clinical psychologist and Vietnam veteran, speak from their own experiences of living with PTSD and TBI. They also share insights from dozens of families and careful research, offering readers a hope-filled way forward

Christ In The Chaos
$9.99Moms: Stop comparing yourself to others. Stop striving to meet false expectations. Stop thinking your performance dictates your worth.
For far too long mothers have been beaten down by the law of “do better” and “try harder.” The burden of “getting it right” threatens to crush weary souls who desire to serve their families faithfully. Christ in the Chaos brings comfort to conflicted hearts that are starved of grace and longing for the freedom in Christ the Bible promises.
In this book, Kimm Crandall emphasizes the importance of the gospel and how Christ’s life, death, and resurrection change every aspect of motherhood. From finding our identity in Christ and understanding God’s grace to taking off the mask of acceptability and dealing with the comparison crud, this book will free you to serve your family knowing that his love for you does not change based on your performance.
Christ in the Chaos is a “must read” for every mother who longs for what is seemingly impossible: peace and freedom in the midst of her chaos.

Love No Matter What
$18.99How will you respond when your child makes a decision you don’t agree with?
Parents and kids will never agree on everything but what can mom and dad do when that decision – whether a matter of preference, spirituality, or morality – is something they think is totally wrong? Author and speaker Brenda Garrison knows all too well that how parents respond will either build a wall or a bridge between them and their child.
Brenda and her husband were forced to answer this question when their oldest daughter Katie abruptly moved out of the house with no means of support. It was not an illegal or immoral decision, but it was one that wasn’t good for her. Their determination to keep an open door of communication is documented not only by their story, but by comments from Katie in each chapter as she offers insights from her own perspective.
Also included are other family scenarios – everything from matters of preference to foolish, immoral, and even illegal decisions – as well as insights into different styles of parenting such as servant, checked-out, gotcha, scared, and controlling parents.
With practical tips and relatable stories, Brenda shares how to model God’s parenting style and explains the difference between the parent’s responsibilities and the child’s, then helps mom and dad discover ways to develop and nurture a relationship with their child that will last a lifetime.

Daddy, I’d like you to meet my children. That’s Robbie Castleman’s attitude about taking her children to church. She believes that Sunday morning isn’t a success if she has only managed to keep the kids quiet. And she knows there’s more to church for kids than trying out their new coloring books. Children are at church for the same reason as their parents: for the privilege of worshiping God. Worship, Castleman writes, is “the most important thing you can ever train your child to do.” So with infectious passion, nitty-gritty advice and a touch of humor, she shows you how to help your children (from toddlers to teenagers) enter into worship. In this significantly revised and updated third edition Castleman includes a new preface and two new appendices that provide new perspectives on children’s sermon and intergenerational community. She also provides a study guide for personal reflection or group discussion. More than ever, Parenting in the Pew is essential reading for parents and worship leaders who want to help children make joyful noises unto the Lord.Add to cartin stock within 3-5 days of online purchase

I Do What
$38.60Dennis Fulton has served in local church ministries for sixty years. He served the Chapel Rock Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, when the megachurch movement was in its infancy in Christian churches and Churches of Christ. After a two-year hiatus for renewal and restoration, Dennis was returned to local ministries. During all of his ministry, however, his interest in world missions found him preaching or teaching in twelve different nations, with an extended stay “down under.” While in Australia, he completed the manuscript for this book. Over his lengthy ministry, there have been over five hundred couples who have stood before him to declare “I do.” Among those have been his five children and, to this date, four of his grandchildren. It has been at the insistence or encouragement of them that this book has become a reality. They think it is important for others to know what it means when they say: FOR BETTER, FOR WORSE. Surely marriage will bring those things that are better. But just as surely, there will be those things that are worse. How much worse? Is it ever worse enough to throw in the towel? FOR RICHER, FOR POORER. Two family backgrounds are coming together in a marriage. One family grabs that dollar bill and squeezes George Washington to death on the way to the bank. The other may run to Dairy Queen and lick the life out of old George. What should be done in a marriage to merge these money matters? SICKNESS AND HEALTH. Some couples have found the stress of preparation for a wedding, the ceremony, the reception, and even the honeymoon leaving them exhausted and near sickness. There are, however, those big words like cancer, Alzheimer’s, and chronic diabetes that could be future tests of this part of the vow. What if? A good understanding of what is contained in that “I do” can help many couples toward the goal of a “they all lived happily ever after” marriage.

Living Together : Myths Risks And Answers
$16.99IS LIVING TOGETHER THE ANSWER?
Since the late 1960s, the number of couples living together before marriage has increased significantly, as this phenomenon was thought to be the answer to obtaining a successful marriage. The theory that couples could “practice” seemed a perfect solution to an increasingly higher divorce rate. “After all,” many argued, “if we live together first, we will really know if we’re compatible.”Mike and Harriet McManus, co-founders of the Marriage Savers(R) organization, argue in this important book that theory and reality are often not the same. They take a fundamental position that one can not practice permanence, and unless a marriage is established as permanent, a couple will not approach it the same way. This significant finding has come from the McManuses’ fifteen years of studying marriage and divorce and their desire to help couples build strong marriages that last a lifetime.
In the pages of this book, you will discover that the divorce rate is actually higher among couples who live together before marriage, as well as important principles that really do give couples the necessary tools for a successful marriage.
Consider this book an investment in yours or someone else’s marriage. Whether you are a counselor seeking to help others in their marriage, a parent helping a child as he or she is contemplating living with someone, a pastor who needs a reliable tool to help couples in his ministry, or a person considering living with someone yourself, “this book is for you!”
