What Is He Thinking
$19.99Add to cartIn WHAT IS HE THINKING??, Rebecca interviews a range of men from high-profile types to the guys next door, men that every woman can relate to. Although the interviews focus on single guys ages 20-35, Rebecca also includes words of wisdom from older mentors she respects who have been successfully married for years, people like her dad, life coach, and pastor.
The men share their thoughts on topics like how women can respect themselves and the men in their lives, modesty, purity, taking it slow, friendship, letting guys lead, and more. This book gives them the floor to say what they would really like women to know.
The men respond candidly to questions such as:
*What is the most attractive quality to you in a woman?
*Is modesty truly attractive?
*Is neediness a turn-off?
*What do you find beautiful?
*How can we be dependent on God for our identity, not on you?
*How can we help you with boundaries physically?Rebecca also discusses her own dating life, speaking openly about the single life, her struggle with loneliness, and her hope for the future. She challenges women to see the men in their lives as brothers in Christ and to trust God with their dating lives.

Terry Virgo was baptized in the Holy Spirit as a young believer, and delighted in the experience. ‘As we began to welcome the presence of the Holy Spirit, our church life was transformed,’ he explains. ‘The presence of the Holy Spirit changed everything.’ As the Spirit moves, so there are healings, often dramatic. But there is more: a discovery of God’s grace. As people discover grace for themselves a far more profound healing takes place, leading first to worship, then a recognition that we are a prophetic people.

Saving Desire : The Seduction Of Christian Theology
$22.99Add to cartTraditional Christian theology has generally treated desire as a dark and negative force intimately related to sin – something to be restricted and repressed, closeted and controlled. But, according to LeRon Shults and Jan-Olav Henriksen’s Saving Desire, we see only part of the picture if we do not also perceive that desire can be a powerful force for great good. Grounding their work firmly in the experiential realm of human life, the eight eminent theologians contributing to this volume celebrate together the positivity, the sociality, and the physicality of saving desire – that is, humankind’s innate desire not only for the “good life” but also, more vitally, for the life-transforming goodness of God.

With : Reimagining The Way You Relate To God
$19.99Add to cartInstead of life over, under, from, or even for God, what leads us into freedom and restoration is life with God. Why are American Christians, who have more access to biblical teaching than any other people in history, failing to experience the freedom of the Christian life? Why are pastors, those closest to the work and ministry, burning out at an alarming rate? Why do many church members, who give large amounts of their time and wealth to Christ and his kingdom, secretly question the legitimacy of their efforts? And why are spiritual seekers dismissing the validity of the Christian message? Is it possible we’ve misunderstood the call of the Christian life?
With explores the narrative of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and the stories of faithful women and men throughout history, to show that we were created to be with God, and that restoring this connection is his mission. When we neglect this calling in favor of a life over, under, or even for God, we will not know the freedom Christ intended. But a life lived in rich communion with God cultivates faith, hope, and love in a way that transforms both us and the broken world we inhabit.

Fighting For Your Prophetic Promises
$15.00Add to cartMany Christians who receive a prophetic message, or “word,” from the Lord don’t understand that its fulfillment is not necessarily automatic. Others don’t know how to determine if a prophetic word really is from the Lord. And still others don’t understand what prophetic ministry is and how it works. A veteran prophetic warrior, Barbara Wentroble is aware of the need for training in Bible-based prophetic ministry. With insight and wisdom, she explains not only how prophetic ministry works, but also how believers today–like biblical characters of old–may need to engage in spiritual warfare in order to receive promises that really are from God. Wentroble shows that prophetic words are not confined to church walls, and are not for a select few Christians but for all. She gives readers the guidelines and prophetic etiquette they need to help prevent abuse and misunderstanding, while helping them find the incredible blessing of the biblical gift of prophecy.

Erasing Hell : What God Said About Eternity, And The Things We’ve Made Up
$14.99Add to cartIn this groundbreaking new book, Francis Chan and Preston Sprinkle take on the topic of hell and our eternal destiny, with a sense of humility and a deep respect for the inspired Word of God. They will address questions such as “Will everyone be saved?” and “Does God Get What He Wants in the End?” as well as reviewing in depth, everything Jesus said about Hell.
However, the authors warn that we have to guard ourselves against “a heartlessness” when we talk about this theology and this doctrine, because ultimately this about people. Chan and Sprinkle lay all the evidence on the table and present all the facts from Scripture, so that people can decide what to believe for themselves.

Is Hell For Real Or Does Everyone Go To Heaven
$16.99Add to cartThe traditional, biblically based view of Hell is again being questioned by people both in and outside the walls of the church. How could Jesus, the one who died for the sins of the world, condemn millions of people to eternal torment because they didn’t believe the right things about him? Doesn’t God’s goodness make it impossible for him to commit such an act of seemingly vengeful judgment? Isn’t eternal punishment disproportionate, and therefore unjust, in light of the temporal nature of all human failings? Can’t Jesus’ love overcome all who resist him, even the most unrepentant of sinners? In light of difficult questions like these—and in part as a response to the controversy stirred up by Rob Bell’s Love Wins—this book affirms with clarity and even-handedness the historic Christian doctrine regarding the final destiny of the unsaved. Together, the contributors explore the biblical and theological reasons for continuing to believe in hell, revealing along the way some of the consequences for the church when it loses sight of this doctrine. Is Hell for Real or Does Everyone Go to Heaven? answers some of today’s toughest questions with deep biblical insights and an irenic tone. This book is ideal for group studies on the topic or for individuals looking for a quick way to better understand the discussion.

Rumors Of God
$18.99Add to cartRumors of God is a call to Christians seeking a vision of the life God is calling them to, one that transcends the shallowness of our culture. Most Christians today live with tension. What is promised in the Scriptures seems like a far cry from what we experience in our lives. As a result, we can lose our passion to live out our faith in the world, and the God of Scripture seems more a series of rumors of divinity than actual tangible, accessible reality. As our world grows more ungodly, it often feels as if the future of the people of God hangs in the balance. In the seventh century B.C., the prophet Habakkuk also fell prey to a spirit of discouragement, and he penned these words: “LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.” Today we live in a similar spiritual and cultural moment to that of Habakkuk, and we, too, long to renew the words and deeds of God in our time. Like Habakkuk we question the future of the church and of God’s mission in our lives. In Rumors of God, authors Darren Whitehead and Jon Tyson call us to reject what is plausible, and to cry out for God to bring what is possible in our lives and in the church.
It will resonate with Christians seeking a vision of the life God is calling them to, one that transcends the shallowness of our culture.

Resting In His Redemption
$14.99Add to cartThe Scriptures teach clearly that God desires to live in intimate fellowship and communion with mankind. He wants us to enjoy His love, peace, joy, and companionship and to rest in His redemption, experiencing the perfect harmony and contentment and fulfillment of purpose for which He created us. God’s original purpose for creating mankind was simply for us to enjoy relationship with Him, the kind of fellowship that the first couple, Adam and Eve, enjoyed in the Garden of Eden, when God walked with them in the cool of the evening (Gen. 3:8). Then, sin entered the human experience and separated all mankind from that divine fellowship. But when we place our faith in Christ’s sacrifice for our sin, we are redeemed by the blood of Christ and justified in the sight of God. But that is not the end of the matter; it is only the beginning. God’s intention is that we be completely restored-spirit, soul, and body-to the divine rest found in His redemption, He wants us to experience that mystery of intimate communion with our Creator/Redeemer.
In this book we will discuss four important aspects of fulfilling the deepest desire of the human heart-to know God personally and intimately in the way God’s great, loving heart intended. To know the love of God that brings true heart contentment, we need to walk in the understanding of these divine principles:
The biblical basis for all prayer is resting in His redemption.
The biblical basis for all Christian living is resting in His redemption.
The biblical basis for total forgiveness is resting in His redemption.
The biblical basis for divine contentment is resting in His redemption.Your life can be transformed when you allow Him to make them a reality to your heart. The love of God can fill your heart and make you a victorious lover of the Christ. You will be ruined for any lesser, temporal pleasure or love once you taste more deeply the wonders of resting in His redemption.

Comprende Y Sana El Abuso En T – (Spanish)
$11.99Add to cartThis book provides a well-researched biblical and scientific overview of abuse. A broad overview, it deals with the various types of abuse, the various effects of abuse, and the means of healing. Abuse can be sexual, physical, neglect, spiritual, and verbal. The chief arguments pursued throughout the book are: (1) abuse is far more rampant than most Christians realize, but due to human depravity and satanic influence, widespread abuse is predicable. (2) All types of abuse create profound, long-term soul damage due to the way abuse perverts various aspects of the image of God. (3) God is the healing redeemer. Human salvation came through horrible physical abuse. (4) Healing must take place in the context of relationships. Humans are deeply impacted by others due to being made in the image of God. Just as surely as abusive relationships have tremendous power to wound the soul, so healthy relationships have tremendous power to nurture and heal the soul. Questions answered in the book include:
– How can a genuine believer abuse a child?
– Why would someone abuse a child?
– How can parents and childrens’ workers identify abusers?
– How can abuse victims heal?
– What does genuine healing look like?
– Is anger appropriate or hurtful for abuse victims?
– Where does forgiveness fit in?Helpful sample child protection policy, application, screening interview, and warning signs of potential abusers equip ministry leaders. Illustrations, case studies, and art therapy drawings.

The problem is that so many of us believe unbiblical, damaging things about how critical God is and how fed up he must be with us. But many of the things we think Jesus would say to us–things like “I can’t believe you call yourself a Christian,” “If you really loved me, you’d try harder,” and “I’m so disappointed in you”–are things he never said. The solution, says Will Davis Jr., is to stop believing the lies and start believing the things Jesus did say.
In 10 Things Jesus Never Said, Davis unmasks commonly believed myths about our relationship with God and shows readers how to replace this pervasive theology of failure with the truth of how Jesus really feels about them. Discussion questions at the end of each chapter help small groups or individuals apply these truths to their current situations. Anyone who has ever felt that they didn’t measure up to God’s standards will love this freeing exploration of grace and forgiveness.

Some invitations we desperately want: “Will you marry me?” “Would you consider a promotion?” Other invitations we never want to receive but must respond to all the same: “What treatment do you want for your tumor?” Invitations pound away at the coastlines of the soul with a transforming force. God is also sending invitations. Sometimes they seem less compelling than anything on my to-do list. Why would I want to say yes to the invitation to rest when I’m already so far behind? Why follow when I could lead? Why accept invitations to weep or to admit I am wrong or to wait? Saying yes might slow me down, sabotage my agenda and even undo who I think I am. Adele Calhoun, author of the popular Spiritual Disciplines Handbook, offers a book about invitations like these-divine invitations we miss or ignore because we’ve said yes to going with the cultural flow. While these invitations from God can sometimes be difficult to accept, they can heal and restore even as they shape where we go, what we do and who we become. What we say yes to, what we say no to forms the terrain of our future. Included in this book are reflection questions and exercises as well as overview charts with recommended disciplines to guide you through each theme. As you attend to the often hidden, quiet voice of the Great Inviter, you will find yourself as God created you to be. -

Take a casual survey of how people practice their faith, and you might reasonably conclude that Jesus spent his life going door to door offering private lessons, complete with chalkboard and pop quizzes. We think about God in the comfort of our own minds, in isolation from one another; meanwhile the world waits for a people to practice the way of Jesus together. Mark Scandrette contends that Jesus has in mind something more lively for us: not a classroom so much as a kingdom, where our formation takes place not only in our heads but in our hearts and our bodies, and in the company of one another, in a way that blesses the world we’ve been entrusted with. In Practicing the Way of Jesus Scandrette draws from his experience as a spiritual director and leader of an intentional community, as well as the best contemporary thinking on kingdom spirituality, to paint a picture of life lived together, in the way of Jesus–which is another way of saying life lived to the full. -
Grace The DNA Of GOD

It examines what the Bible really says about grace, what it is, and what it is not. Tony reveals five expressions of God’s grace, how to receive it, and how to avoid shortcircuiting its power in your life. He candidly addresses certain misconceptions and misapplications of grace, and provides a balanced look at a subject that is essential to the Christian walk.
Grace, The DNA of God includes a “Questions for Reflection and
Discussion” section at the end of each chapter to further benefit
your personal study, and to make it ideal for small-group study. -
WikiChurch : Making Discipleship Engaging Empowering And Viral
$14.99Add to cartMost Christians agree that discipleship is important, even essential for Christian maturity; few understand biblical principles and even fewer apply a biblical process when it comes to discipleship. Discipleship isn’t complicated, but it can at times be difficult. The difficulty lies in applying the following four principles to your specific context. Simply put, here’s how anyone-young or old, male or female, pastor or entrepreneur-can make disciples.
1. Engage culture and community-When Jesus told His original twelve to go and make disciples, they did not interpret His command to mean, “Find people who are already following Me and help them become better followers.” They interpreted His “great commission” to mean that they should go and find people who were not yet followers and help them know and follow Jesus. The starting line of the disciple-making process must be evangelism that engages both our community and culture.
2. Establish spiritual foundations-If we want our disciples to survive the storms of life, we must help them establish strong biblical foundations.
3. Equip believers to minister-The biblical job description for professional ministers is to equip the “non-pros” for ministry, then get out of their way.
4. Empower disciples to make disciples-Jesus expected all of His original disciples to make disciples. He empowered them, knowing they would make mistakes. Because Jesus expects all His disciples to make disciples, we must not only equip them, but we must also empower them. -
Invisible King And His Kingdom
$15.99Add to cartToo many Christians have a pessimistic and doom and gloom view of the future because of a lack of understanding concerning what Jesus came to establish-the kingdom of God. If believers cannot see the kingdom, they will focus on the negative things the news has to offer. Discerning the kingdom in a world seemingly devoid of righteousness is the only hope and encouragement for believers today. In this book, readers will be challenged on the predominant, negative worldview that permeates much of the church and some of the “Christian thinking” that goes with it. Readers will learn about the kingdom in order to be kingdom ambassadors to their generation. There is a wealth of information on the kingdom that this book will examine. It will also challenge many misconceptions of the kingdom that are held today among Christians.
Jesus’s announcement that the kingdom was at hand was the turning point in human history. It was the announcement that salvation, redemption, and everlasting righteousness was at hand. It is important for believers to understand the kingdom as the plan of God for the ages. The advancement of the kingdom is the will of God for every generation.

Radical Hospitality : Benedicts Way Of Love (Expanded)
$19.99Add to cartFor readers of “The Benedict Option”, here is another invaluable collection of Benedictine wisdom to live by. Today’s culture is increasingly hostile and suspicious toward anyone who appears to be different–especially when tragedy strikes. Our instinct is to bolt our doors and protect the ones we love. But deep within the heart of Benedictine spirituality lies a remedy to hatred, fear, and suspicion: hospitality. At once deeply comforting and sharply challenging, true Benedictine hospitality requires that we welcome the stranger, not only into our homes, but into our hearts. With warmth and humor, drawing from the monastic tradition and sharing personal anecdotes from their own lives, Pratt and Homan encourage us to embrace not only the literal stranger, but the stranger within and the stranger in those we love.

Preparation For Eternity With God
$30.95Add to cartOur time is short on this earth. Jesus will soon be returning to take His children home … but are we ready? There are preparations we can make. The book you are holding is a story about fighting the good fight of faith and conquering it with Christ’s help. God’s Word says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) The Bible also says, “The truth shall make you free … ye shall be free indeed.” (John 8:32,36)
Author Rick Streight speaks heart-to-heart with the reader about the realities of the Christian journey and the reward that is waiting for us. He also speaks about the dangers that surround us, the temptations we often struggle with, and how to overcome sin through Christ.
He asks a major question: “Why hasn’t Jesus come yet ?” This book answers that important question.
Are you spiritually homesick? God has made a plan that we may have “… boldness in the day of Judgment.” (1 John 4:17) Jesus depended totally on His Father for wisdom and power. If we depend on Jesus, we can receive that same power to live the Christian life maturely, with no short cuts-that’s God’s way! This book also provides answers as to how we can hasten Jesus’s second coming.
May we all prepare ourselves for “the day of the Lord” through in-depth study of His Word with much prayer. Ask God, “How do I apply these things I am learning to my life?”

Let God Change Your Life
$14.99Add to cartEvangelist Greg Laurie calls all Christians back to radical New Testament living in his latest offering, Let God Change Your Life.
Imagine what it would have been like to be a follower of Jesus; first-century Christians walked away from their old lives just to be where He was. What they learned, sitting at His feet, was discipleship. And when His work on earth was done, first-century Christians took His words and example and spread out, teaching the gospel to everyone.
The good news is that we, too, can participate in this lifestyle. Laurie drills it down in three simple ideas: get to know Jesus, follow His plan for discipleship, and use it to tell others what we know. Laurie’s tone is clear, direct, and biblical.

Suffering : Christian Reflections On The Buddhist Dukkha
$17.99Add to cartWhat is dukkha? In Buddhism this word encompasses the concepts of dis-ease, unsteadiness, sorrow, and lack of inner calm. In English it is usually translated simply as “suffering”. However it is defined, dukkha is central to understanding Buddhism. The Buddha described not only what it was, but taught that there is a way out of it.
Suffering is an undeniable theme in both Christianity and Buddhism. Both treat the topic with great intensity. Buddha taught that suffering was inherent to the mortal condition. Christ was born into a life of suffering and called disciples to follow him in this path. Through enlightenment Buddha pointed to a way out of suffering. Through his death Christ suffered once for all. Both groups experience suffering but often talk about it from completely different starting points. Are there insights from each perspective that can inform the other? We believe so.

Disruptive Faith : Expect God To Interrupt Your Life (Reprinted)
$19.00Add to cartThe word faith is common these days, but placing one’s faith in God is a weighty action, uncommonly fraught with consequence and, by His design, inconvenience. Faith in God is reassuring and comforting only insofar as believers trust Him–and that depth of trust is the mark of a mature Christian who has allowed faith to intrude on his life and shift his gaze away from his own aims, needs, and desires. This is nothing if not a painful and disturbing process. A Disruptive Faith is A. W. Tozer’s never-before-published teaching on what he termed “faith that perturbs”–faith that contradicts the unbelieving man and threatens the complacency of the Christian. The renowned pastor and teacher insists in these pages that genuine faith breeds dissatisfaction with this life, by God’s design; it weans us from this temporary life and prepares us for the life to come. Readers will learn to be content with this faith-inspired discontent and to experience a fresh hope for eternity with God.

Power Of Humility
$19.99Add to cartWritten in the same style as his Jealousy-the Sin No One Talks About, Kendall tackles the problem of pride, bringing out into the open the challenges a majority of people face in overcoming the pride and self-righteousness that were introduced to mankind by the serpent in the Garden of Eden. He defines the various kinds of pride, including social, racial, financial, sexual, and spiritual pride, and teaches us how God uses the pride in our lives to reveal our need for Christlikeness. He demonstrates that pride lies behind the “blame game,” causing us to “pass the buck” rather than admit our guilt and thus interfering in our ability to draw closer in relationship to God.
Kendall outlines several Old Testament examples of pride. He shows how foolish pride governed most of Jacob’s life, led to King Saul becoming “yesterday’s man,” and filled Elijah’s life, even though he was a great prophet of God. Then he shows how pride surfaced in New Testament people: Peter’s pride in believing he loved Jesus most of all, the pride of the Pharisees, and the racial-religious pride that filled the Jews and was the reason they rejected Paul. Finally we take a closer look at Jesus-and Kendall teaches us the principles from the Sermon on the Mount that will lead us away from pride. He shows us that it is impossible to be Spirit-filled and self-righteous simultaneously, and he gives us biblical principles for overcoming pride and self-righteousness.

Gracia De Dios – (Spanish)
$16.99Add to cartLearn how God’s grace can and will transform you. None of us deserve what God offers, a life free from the ravages of sin and hope for a glorious future, but unbelievably it’s ours for the taking. Why? Because of grace. God’s grace. The unmerited favor, the lavish love and kindness that he pours out on us, and has, since he walked in the garden with Adam and Eve. But if it’s so available then why do we live a grace-less life? Why are our churches filled with disillusioned Christians, weary of the demands of religion, struggling with personal defeat because of issues and behaviors? Join pastor Andy Stanley as he traces grace through the Old and New Testament, observing God’s grace at work in the lives of some of the best, and worst, characters. He also shares deeply personal insights from his own life and reveals how grace is not a natural response but is the most essential one. Together these stories unravel the mystery of grace and tell of its transforming power to set us free. Includes a special chapter to discover and come to terms with your own grace story.

War Of The Worlds
$15.99Add to cartAdrian Plass considers the pull of the spirit and of the flesh and how this often leads us to live compartmentalised lives. We allow God only into certain bits and suffer embarrassment when our compromised private lives and shiny public lives collide.
War of the Worlds is about spiritual warfare, maturity, prayer and the fear of true commitment. It’s a book that battles to reunite the secret world of what we are, with the public world of what we appear to be, in an outrageous and seriously funny advance into the no-man’s-land of genuine Christian engagement.
Adrian brings the Bible alive with rather unexpected soap opera characters; he introduces us to a God who is much more playful than we thought and asks questions such as: If doubt and insecurity are the elephants in the room, how do we deal with these huge creatures? How have we allowed so many herds of sacred cows to grow so large? True authenticity demands a major cull.

But God : The Two Words At The Heart Of The Gospel
$9.99Add to cartWhether from the pen of Moses, Paul, or other biblical authors, “But God” appears in various forms hundreds of times in the Bible. To understand these two words as they are used in Scripture is to understand the gospel. This book focuses on nine of the most important appearances of this key phrase, drawing in numerous other passages of Scripture and in the process unfolding the magnificent drama of God’s sovereign grace-from his mercy on Noah to our security in a resurrected Savior. Taken together, this collection of brief Bible expositions provides a big-picture overview of the consistent way in which God has chosen to save sinners. It has always been by his might, his power, his grace, and his initiative. James Montgomery Boice wrote that “If you understand those two words-‘but God’-they will save your soul. If you recall them daily and live by them, they will transform your life completely.”

Soul Work : Confessions Of A Part Time Monk
$13.99Add to cartSharing experiences and insights from his visits to monasteries over the years, popular speaker and university professor Randy Harris invites us into a richer, fuller life in the Spirit.
Why would a single, non-Catholic college professor want to spend his vacations at monasteries and with hermits?”Because there is so much to learn there!” writes Randy Harris. ”When I decided I wanted to learn how to pray, I sought those who had spent their lives praying. When I wanted to learn to ‘be still and know that he is God’, I sought those for whom silence is a way of life. As I sought stability and balance, I found a way of life that has endured for 1500 years. I didn’t exactly want to become a monk or hermit, but I did want to learn what they know–and it has become a life-changing journey.”
Spiritual formation has become a popular buzzword. But we might wonder what it means to be spiritual in our situations and most of us don t have time to join or visit a monastery!
With gentle humor and keen wisdom, Randy Harris shows how the monastery can come to us. More importantly, he welcomes us into that life that is rich, blessed, and joyful. The life that God intends for us. The secret of the easy yoke that Jesus promises.
