  • God Wants You Rich

    $16.99

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers
    (3 John 1:2).

In God Wants You Rich, Ashley Terradez unpacks one of God’s most controversial promises–prosperity. Ashley addresses misconceptions about wealth and shares personal stories of miraculous provision, as well as divine appointments that have led to financial gain.

A healthy understanding of God’s heart of prosperity reveals money as a tool that can be used for His glory, without having a stronghold in our hearts.

    In this book, you will…

*Learn the biblical purpose of money
*Develop an attitude toward money as a tool God wants His people to leverage
*Release guilt or shame related to having wealth
*Increase in financial prosperity through God’s abundant provision
    *See greater increase/stability in finances
    *Overcome mental blocks about prosperity

Today is your day to step into greater abundance! When you learn to think about money and abundance the way God does, you will step into a new level of freedom in the bountiful Kingdom of God!

  • Financial Anxiety

    $8.95

An honest and innovative look at our relationship to money.

Though theologians of every era have written about money, and scripture and theology provide ample material for a rich discussion of wealth and possessions, we have tremendous difficulty talking about money in the church. Therefore, congregational leaders need to know how to talk about money, and particularly how to lead a theological discussion about it and the anxiety individuals often feel.

  • Thorns Barns And Oil Jars

    $16.99

How you relate to money is a big deal–whether you have much or you don’t!

Too many Christians have the wrong idea about money! Some base their thinking on the world’s system, while others base their opinions on unbalanced church doctrines. Some have gone so far as to advocate poverty as being godly.

Yet, author Ashley Terradez points out that Jesus purchased financial prosperity for us and taught on finances more than any other subject. Why? Because religious attitudes against prosperity can limit God’s supply to us.

In Thorns, Barns and Oil Jars, Ashley shares a scriptural foundation of abundance and the practical steps to walk in it as he outlines the biblical tripod of financial prosperity. True financial freedom is found in the balance of all three:

*Thorns – Symbolizing work and how God blesses the work of your hands
*Barns – Symbolizing the need to save so God can bless your storehouse
*Oil jars – Symbolizing God’s favor and anointing so God can supernaturally bless your life

God wants His super on your natural so you can live financially free! After all, getting money shouldn’t be anyone’s goal, but every godly goal takes money.

    $24.95

A manual for securing a significant number of planned gifts for a church of any denomination or size.

In order for churches and related religious institutions to advance their strategic growth initiatives, a variety of funding vehicles are required, and a planned gifts program can play an important part. A planned gifts program offers a systematic and sustainable implementation model that is formalized, progressive, and–most importantly–volunteer-based and -driven.

Implementation of a planned gifts program should be centered upon the resolution of significant church needs and the advancement of God’s work. The authors, both successful fundraisers, keep this motivation at the center of their implementation model.

  • Why Should I Give To My Church

    $4.99

Discover the importance of giving in the life of the local church.

Many new believers have questions about what it means to live as a Christian in the context of a local church, and pastors are looking for resources to pass along to their congregations to help them think biblically about the Christian life. Church Questions is a series by 9Marks that seeks to provide Christians with sound and accessible biblical teaching by answering common questions about church life. Each booklet offers biblical answers and practical applications with the goal of nurturing healthy church practice and commitment.

Statistics show that while charitable giving is as popular as ever in America, giving to the church has dropped significantly in the past several decades. However, the Bible stresses the importance of giving as Christians-specifically for the benefit of the local church. In this short booklet, Jamie Dunlop addresses the question Why should I give to my church?-stressing three primary reasons for Christians to consider: it is spiritually rewarding, it accomplishes God’s purposes, and it brings him glory.

  • Money Greed And God 10th Anniversary Edition

    $17.99

An updated anniversary edition of the classic work that made the Christian case for capitalism, expanding and deepening the pioneering vision of entrepreneurship as a Christian pursuit.

Ten years ago, Jay Richards, the New York Times bestselling author and Research Assistant Professor in the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America, introduced Christians to a new way of thinking about capitalism. He presented an alternative to the dualistic view that Christianity has cast on this economic system-all good or all evil-and revealed the surprising ways that capitalism is actually the best way to follow Jesus’s mandates to alleviate poverty and protect the earth.

Now, this special anniversary edition has been updated with new research and commentary specific to our current economic landscape, including up-to-date case studies. Richards expands his Christian case for capitalism, considering issues that have come to the forefront in the past decade because of the financial crisis, including entrepreneurship, the debate over socialism and capitalism, and how millennials are influencing the market. In doing so, he reaffirms how entrepreneurial enterprise-a pursuit based on hard work, honesty, and trust-aligns with core Christian values today

  • Jesus Economy : A Biblical View Of Poverty The Currency Of Love And A Patte

    $15.99

You know people around the world are struggling. A homeless man holds a sign that reads, “Anything helps.” A poor child lives in a slum swarming with flies. A refugee mother is on the brink of starvation. You ask yourself, “But what can I do about such big problems?”

You’re looking for long-term solutions. John D. Barry shares incredible, and often shocking, stories about working among the impoverished and unchurched in the U.S. and abroad. And since Barry is a Bible scholar, Jesus’ Economy is also deeply rooted in the Scriptures. It is a personal, sometimes funny, often heartbreaking account that presents a revolutionary pattern for lasting change.

Jesus’ Economy is based on self-sacrifice. His currency is love. It’s called Jesus’ Economy because it’s about creating a spiritual and physical economy for those who need it most. Here is a thoroughly biblical and compassionate pattern for addressing issues of poverty and offering the hope of the gospel. Jesus’ Economy

    – Shows how you as an individual can best encourage renewal in your community.
    – Demonstrates how your church community or any group can alleviate poverty.
    – Presents a unified plan for creating jobs, spreading the gospel, and meeting basic needs.
    – Focuses on community development and sustainability– lasting change, globally and locally.

Jesus’ Economy is a call to address our own spiritual poverty–as people who can too easily become distant from Christ–and it is a call to address the physical poverty all around us in a smart and sustainable way. Jesus’ teachings show that with simple, everyday choices, you can make the world a better place and create enduring change. Here’s how to live Jesus’ economy–a currency of love.

  • Enough : Discovering Joy Through Simplicity And Generosity

    $15.99

Money has great power in our lives. Used wisely, it is one key to accomplishing our goals, providing for our needs, and fulfilling our life purpose. In recent years, many of us ignored the wisdom of the past when it came to managing and spending our money. Credit card debt soared, savings rates plummeted, and our home equity became something to be tapped into and spent rather than a source of security in retirement. We felt an insatiable desire for more. And we found ourselves spending tomorrow’s money today in order to have what we hoped would satisfy. The result of all of this was not greater happiness and satisfaction, but greater stress and anxiety. Enough is an invitation to rediscover the Bible’s wisdom when it comes to prudent financial practices. In these pages are found the keys to experiencing contentment, overcoming fear, and discovering joy through simplicity and generosity. This book could change your life, by changing your relationship with money. “We Americans love our stuff. We’re living in a fast-paced, me-first, instant-gratification world, and it’s finally catching up to us. Debt is out of control, homes are in foreclosure … even banks are going out of business. What the world needs today is the message of contentment and simplicity, and that’s exactly what Pastor Adam Hamilton delivers in Enough.” Dave Ramsey, New York Times Best-Selling Author and Nationally Syndicated Radio Talk Show Host “Once again, Adam Hamilton is leading the church; ‘Enough is enough’ was once a Wesleyan watchword. Adam breathes new life into the Wesleyan commitment to simplicity. Amid a culture of greed and conspicuous consumption Adam calls us to a biblically based, evangelical joy of having the faith to say ‘enough is enough.'” Bishop Will Willimon United Methodist Church, Birmingham Area “I pay close attention to whatever Adam Hamilton writes. His books are marked by extraordinary pastoral insight, biblical and theological depth, courage to speak the truth, and down-to-earth practicality. Enough comes like an antidote in the middle of a pandemic. I hope that classes, groups, couples, and individuals will use this book-and the economic crisis it addresses-as a challenge to get healthy again by deepening our discipleship in the vital area of money and possessions.” Brian McLaren, Author/Networker (brianmclaren.net)

  • Fearless Major Gifts

    $29.95

Every major gift is planned, and every planned gift is major, so this book is written intentionally blurring those lines with the premise that if you know how to identify, evaluate, cultivate and finally ask for the gift, it does not matter if it is a major gift or is a will inclusion leaving the details of bequests to the donors, their lawyers and accountants. Clergy and others need help learning how to ‘make the ask’ before the remaining generous generations of capacity (anyone over 60 especially) die, having given their gifts to the non-profits and schools so willing and prepared to ask for them. LaFond recounts, “I remember sitting with a beloved, dying parishioner who turned to me in her last three hours and quietly said ‘I wish I had remembered the church in my will.’ I asked why she had not and she said, sweetly, ‘They never asked, and everyone else did, and so thoroughly.'” Clergy and lay leaders are terrified of asking for major and planned gifts while parishes need them and donors need to give them. Clergy are not taught in seminary how to do this essential work of ministry. LaFond, in his various roles, is filling that educational gap.

  • E-Giving Guide For Every Church

    $12.99

The purpose of this book is to help churches raise more money for ministry and mission by better using electronic media. Although philanthropy in the US is growing, churches continue to receive a declining portion of that philanthropy. Part of the challenge is that America is becoming significantly less dependent on paper currency (cash and checks) yet the church continues to count on paper currency as their primary media for donations. There have been warning signals for several years. Many churches face shrinking budgets and membership and are beginning to ask the right questions. The author’s goal is to capture this teachable moment with a resource that will encourage pastors and church leaders to utilize tools already available to change the trajectory of their resourcing; because nothing is more important than what God has called them to do. The banking and electronic giving industries have not made it easy for churches to understand their services or fees. This book will take the confusion and fear away and open churches to new possibilities.

Our possessions can create unbearable weight and affect our ability to serve and thrive. How do we defy gravity and find freedom? In this 4-week small group study and stewardship campaign, pastor and author Tom Berlin explores what is required to sustain a vibrant life, what we need versus what we want, and what we can do to avoid being pulled into the orbit of materialism. The Pastor Guide helps the pastor and leadership team think strategically about financial planning and giving beyond the annual campaign vision. Tom Berlin believes and teaches that the church, in order to inspire generosity in individuals, needs to be seen and understood as generous. People will embrace giving if they see the ways their gifts are used in the community and the world. Generous church… generous people. Sermon helps and fresh illustrations will be included, broken down into four segments: Think About It – How do I think through the key aspects of our church’s financial reality and plan? Communicate It – How do we tell our story so the whole congregation shares a vision who we are, what we do, and what changes we can make in the world with our people and resources. Plan It – What’s the short-term campaign plan, the annual plan, and our long-term plan for the financial and spiritual life of our congregation? – Manage It – How do we set up processes, reports, goals, and metrics to stay true to our plan?

  • Generosity Rising : Lead A Stewardship Revolution In Your Church

    $17.99

With all of the books written on stewardship and all of the workshops offered; why do churches continue to struggle with questions and issues of financial giving? The answer is in the church’s leadership. A revolution of generosity will only occur as pastors, financial chairs and stewardship chairs live and give witness to the importance of generosity in their personal lives and then intentionally recruit and train others to join the revolution. Leading a revolution in generosity is not about simply using the right program or reading the right book or preaching the right sermon; a revolution of generosity is about embracing, living and leading others on a journey of gratitude, prayer and faith. Generosity Rising instructs pastors on whom to recruit and how to recruit them, offering practical guidelines for training a dedicated team of “generosity revolutionaries.” This book also provides daily devotionals for leaders to inspire, motivate and encourage their personal journey of gratitude, prayer and faith.

  • Christian Wallet : Spending Giving And Living With A Conscience

    $22.00

“Conscientious and compassionate use of our money in a world where people spend $310 million on costumes for their pets and $5 billion on entertaining ringtones for their phones is not an easy task. The temptation to spend now and think later (or never!) is ever-present, but with good intentions and prayerful hearts, we can slow down and reflect on what we earn, how we spend it, who is affected by it, and who we can share it with.”
    -from the introduction

Every Christian knows that we are called to love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. But what about our wallet? We are asked to open it every Sunday when the offering basket comes by and are told that giving is a way of being a “good steward,” but what about spending money at a restaurant or grocery store? Best-selling author Mike Slaughter offers a comprehensive look at how Christians use their money in The Christian Wallet. Slaughter explores today’s culture of consumerism and the impact of what we buy, asking difficult questions about morality and money while acknowledging that there are no easy answers. Throughout the book, profiles of real people inspire thoughtful reflection about the true value of money and the rewards of conscious spending. Questions for individual or group study are also included with each chapter. The Christian Wallet helps Christians grapple with important questions about using money: how we spend, how we live, how we save, how we give, and what it all means.

  • Stewardshift : An Economia For Congregational Change

    $24.95

The collective groan that greets stewardship campaigns in most churches can be quelled. This book offers theoretical and practical propositions by which lay and clergy leaders can ensure the sustainability of stewardship ministries to help their congregations flourish. Bob Sitze invites stewardship leaders into a broader conversation of how shifted biblical and secular stewardship concepts, practice, and identity can be incorporated into a congregation’s life and help bring about lasting change. The book has two sections: Part 1, Scriptural Stewardshifts, reinterprets familiar biblical passages on stewardship, introduces new ones, and helps congregations expand their use of the Bible in their life and stewardship work. Part 2, Secular Stewardshifts, examines the resources that are available to congregations from the “continuing revelation” that is occurring in the secular world, including brain science, financial planning, philanthropy, community organizing, and other areas. The book is written in a friendly style, with reflection questions, so-what moments, and, and engaging sidebars.

CEO of Large Nonprofit Shares a New Approach to Fundraising

Over the past 10 years, Peter Greer has helped HOPE International increase private fundraising at an annual growth rate of 44 percent. Much of this is the result of a relational approach to fundraising, which stands in stark contrast to conventional wisdom in the field.

For many people, “fundraising” has become a dirty word. Conjuring images of guilt-inducing gimmickry, the predominant model saps the joy from both the donor and the receiver. It is time to dismantle certain shaky beliefs and practices, rediscovering a path that values the giver as much as the gift.

Co-written by David Weekley, the chairman of David Weekley Homes and one of America’s most influential philanthropists, this small book outlines a Kingdom perspective on fundraising in order to energize a new generation of generosity.

    $17.99

A completely revised edition of Christopher’s classic, updated with new material. People don’t give to church because we don’t offer them a compelling vision of the good their giving will achieve. Hearing a young attorney speak of the faithbased reasons for which he had just made a substantial monetary gift to a community youth center, Clif Christopher asked the speaker if he would consider making a similar contribution to the congregation of which he was an active member. “Lord, no they would not know what to do with it” was the answer. That, in a nutshell, describes the problem churches are facing in their stewardship efforts, says Christopher. Unlike leading nonprofit agencies and institutions, we too often fail to convince potential givers that their gifts will have impact and significance. In this book, Christopher lays out the main reasons for this failure to capture the imagination of potential givers, including our frequent failure simply to ask. Written with the needs of pastors and stewardship teams in mind, Not Your Parents’ Offering Plate provides immediate, practical guidance to all who seek to help God’s people be better stewards of their resources.

  • Money Experiment : A Community Practice In Financial Simplicity

    $14.99

The biggest issue with money is the way we think about it.

Money makes us talk in terms of percentages and interest, loss and gain, and returns on investment. Our natural inclination is to connect our giving and spending to what will result in the biggest gain for ourselves and, as an afterthought, for others and the church.

What would happen if, instead of focusing on how we budgeted our money, we changed the way we thought about money.

By exploring the Biblical narrative, The Money Experiment will challenge you to embrace financial simplicity-big money words not included.

    How it works:
    1. Read and discuss each chapter with your group.
    2. Pick one of the experiments (challenges to live intentionally) to do throughout the week.
    3. Journal your thoughts and experiences.
    4. Share your experiences as a group the following week.

  • Spirituality Of Fundraising

    $9.99

Have you ever raised funds for your church, another organization, or a mission trip? Maybe you felt uncomfortable about asking people to donate money. It’s time to change the way you view this important task.

“Fundraising is, first and foremost, a ministry,” renowned author and teacher Henri Nouwen writes in the introduction. “It’s a way of announcing our vision and inviting other people into our mission.”

Nouwen approaches fundraising from a position of strength rather than weakness, seeing it as spiritual work. “Fundraising is precisely the opposite of begging,” he points out.

Unlike most business/leadership books, A Spirituality of Fundraising is brief and can easily be read in one sitting. Sections of this booklet include

    *Fundraising as Ministry
    *Helping the Kingdom Come About
    *Our Security Base
    *People Who Are Rich
    *Asking
    *A New Communion
    *Prayer and Gratitude
    *Your Kingdom Come
Nouwen’s insights will shift your thinking about fundraising. You’ll never feel as though you are begging for money but instead view your work as true ministry. A must read for leaders in churches, nonprofits, ministries, and businesses!

  • Whose Offering Plate Is It

    $15.99

In Not Your Parents Offering Plate, Clif Christopher challenged churches and pastors to take a lesson from the leaders of not-for-profit organizations: if you want people to give to your church, first offer them a compelling vision of the good that their giving will accomplish. The book encouraged an entire culture change for many in the Christian community in how they viewed the offering plate. It also unleashed a barrage of questions on specifically now one goes about creating this new culture while maintaining the foundations of their faith tradition and essence of their mission.

In this sequel Christopher responds to these questions in the same forthright manner that he originally laid forth his propositions. He offers simple, strategic advise on such difficult questions as:

$ “Exactly how to I go about gaining access to the donor records when my church has prohibited it for a hundred years?”
$ “How do I explain a meeting with just those who are strong givers without alienating those who are not?”
$ “How can we advocate online giving without encouraging some to abuse their credit cards?”
$ “What should letters to different giving constituencies look like?”

  • Money Miracles God And Me

    $14.99

“Money, Miracles, God and Me tells the story of one single mother’s struggle to survive when she had been disappointed and nearly destroyed. She found resources in God to face a frightening future and in the power of prayer received miracles of money and personal direction. Her testimony gives current evidence that God answers prayer, meets human need, and does not leave us to struggle with life’s fears alone.”

    Ben Campbell Johnson PH.D.
    Professor of Christian Spirituality, Emeritus
    Columbia Theological Seminary
    Decatur, Georgia

“What an amazing and exciting journey between the promising and providing God of the universe and one of His precious and faithful pilgrims. Rooted in Scripture and biblical truth throughout, it reveals a concerned God and how He communicates and fulfills His promises in our chaotic and stress-filled world. This is an insightful and inspirational ‘must’ for a discerning believer.”

The Rev. Don Nichols – Retired pastor

Long-time friend and pilgrim with the author

“When it appeared that this mother would be knocked down, she ‘stepped forward’ instead, into a life of serious study and use of scripture, deep prayer, and remarkable generosity through tithing and other ways. She lived it and has written about it. We are her benefactors.”

  • Spiritual Thoughts On Material Things

    $22.99

There has been a philosophy dating back centuries that teaches that all things material are evil and all things spiritual are good. According to this thinking, if you really want to be spiritual, you will divest yourself of all your material possession, take a vow of poverty, and separate yourself as much as is humanly possible from the evil, material world. Most pastors avoid teaching a proper perspective on material possessions because they themselves are often not sure exactly what they believe about wealth. Hence, the silence on this subject in churches is almost deafening. I have written this book to break the silence. I speak plainly about your material things and challenge you to think spiritually about them. This book is not intended to only change the way you think, but more importantly, to change the way you live. May this book provide you new spiritual thoughts on your same old material things.
