To Gaze Upon God
$30.00Add to cartToday, the doctrine of the beatific vision has been woefully forgotten within the church and its theology.
Yet, throughout history Christians have always held that the blessed hope of heaven lies in seeing and being in the presence of God, of beholding the beatific vision. With lucidity and breadth, Parkison reintroduces the beatific vision and affirms its centrality for the life of the church today. Parkison argues for the beatific vision’s biblical foundations and reminds us-through close readings of theologians such as Anselm of Canterbury, Thomas Aquinas, Dante, Gregory Palamas, John Calvin, and Jonathan Edwards-of the doctrine’s historical and contemporary significance. The beatific vision is about seeing God, and as Christians have acknowledged across the tradition, seeing God is our ultimate end.

Wonders From Your Law
$40.00Add to cartFinding internal coherence within the Old Testament is a challenging task. Numerous scholars over the centuries have provided various, divergent frameworks to organize the content of the Hebrew Bible. Navigating both the Old Testament itself and the history of its interpretation can feel like a maze of complexity.
Biblical scholar Kevin Chen offers a way of understanding the Old Testament through the orienting lens of what he calls “nexus passages.” Such passages pull the material of the Old Testament together through their high connectivity to other Scripture passages. In his thorough textual analyses, Chen shows how these nexus passages serve as lexical, thematic, and theological hubs for understanding the Old Testament. Both exegetical and intertextual, Wonders From your Law gazes deeply into the text for a constructive, evangelical approach to Old Testament theology.

Mission Without Borders
$29.99Add to cartAuthor, speaker, and former Force Recon Marine Chad Robichaux offers an honest, no-holds-barred account of what has really been happening in Ukraine and shares powerful stories that are soaked in resiliency and determination, faith and sacrifice in the face of overwhelming opposition.
When Russian forces invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, former Force Recon Marine Chad Robichaux knew that innocent people were about to be exposed to untold brutality. He also knew that God was inviting him to get involved. With little idea of the trials that would follow, Chad’s response was simple and clear: “yes.” As he gathered a team of elite special operations veterans, he invited his twenty-five-year-old son, Hunter–also a Marine combat veteran–to partner with him in Ukraine. Over the course of seven trips, Chad saw a change in Hunter as his confidence grew and he exceled among the team. Chad’s own faith also grew as he learned to relinquish control and trust God with his son and what he witnessed in the brutality of war.
A Mission Without Borders is a powerful account of the lessons we can learn whenever we say yes to God. Chad’s experience will help readers:
*understand what the conflict in Ukraine was like for everyday citizens beyond the political fog;
*discover how a bond can grow between a father and son as they face hardship together; and
*realize that God doesn’t just call us to go to the aid of the people we know and love, sometimes he calls us to help strangers–because it’s the right thing to do.
A Mission Without Borders will take readers deep into the war in Ukraine. From Russia’s use of ballistic and chemical weapons on civilians, to the inspirational story of the role that the Ukrainian church has played in the war, Chad’s story of courage and hope needs to be heard. It is rich in human and spiritual truth and will connect deeply with readers of all walks.

Ecumenical Field Guide To Fresh Expressions
$18.99Add to cartLearn the essentials of fresh expressions for your church.
An Ecumenical Field Guide for Fresh Expressions is a practical manual for understanding and implementing Fresh Expressions for a church in any denominational setting.
The Fresh Expressions movement is a new way of thinking about the local church and a new way of doing church as a congregation. It refers to new (fresh) iterations or types (expressions) of ministry, usually outside the confines of the church building. These iterations or types of ministries are formed intentionally but organically out in the community, where people are. They are based on shared activities or interests, where people are gathering already, and where the people are open to or interested in learning about Jesus. Christian people share their own stories of how Jesus is part of their lives. Often, these gatherings become regular and increasingly begin to adopt the practices of a church community, like worship, service, study, and giving. Thus, they become fresh expressions of the church from which they sprang.

What Happens Next Bible Study Guide Plus Streaming Video (Student/Study Guide)
$21.99Add to cartWhat comes to mind when you think about the end times? If you are like many Christians, you might not think about it much at all. You have a carpe diem kind of faith that focuses on the here and now. Why occupy your thoughts with the “not yet” when you have enough to deal with in the “right now”? The answer is simple: because Jesus focused on the end times. A full thirty percent of his teachings in the Gospels have to do with discourses on heaven, hell, and the events that will signal the final age. So, if Jesus made the end times a priority, it only makes sense that his followers would make it a priority as well.
Perhaps one of the reasons why you don’t like to think about the end times is because you know it will involve turmoil and strife. Indeed, Jesus said the final days would be marked by events that include economic turmoil, political conflicts, ethnic tensions, persecution of Christians, famines, wars and rumors of wars, diseases, false prophets, waning faith in Jesus, and other fearful sights. Jesus declared, “All these are the beginning of birth pains” (Matthew 24:9). Labor pains increase in frequency and intensity as the delivery draws near. Jesus was speaking of a day in which the same will happen in the world.
Now, when it comes to considering these events that will signal the end of the age, you have a choice as to how you will respond. You can see these circumstances through the eyes of fear or faith. The eyes of fear see little reason for hope and ample reason for anxiety. However, the eyes of faith see history inching closer and closer to a new era that will usher in a heavenly destiny–a time when you will “reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize” (Philippians 3:14 nlt). God has told you what to expect not to scare you but to prepare you. He is like a pilot on the intercom telling the passengers about impending turbulence. A good pilot keeps his travelers informed. Your good Father does the same!
God wants you to have a deep-seated confidence that he is firmly on his throne and the future is in his hands. He has given prophecy to empower his saints with the reassurance that whatever happens in this life, he is ultimately sovereign.

Gardens In The Desert
$19.99Add to cartYour church can thrive in this strange new world!
Many church people and leaders feel like exiles in their own land. We are facing tremendous challenges. And, just as for those who came before us, the challenges are also opportunities. If we adapt to our new environment, as people and as the body of Christ.
Gardens in the Desert offers local and denominational church leaders a practical, inspired, scripture-rooted vision for how we can do this?how we can become God’s church now for God’s intended future.
Michael Adam Beck and Ken Carter draw from Jeremiah 29 to provide wise guidance for leaders and churches seeking to adapt and thrive. Jeremiah’s imperatives resonate deeply today, compelling us to experiment, cultivate new relationships, prioritize faith-sharing with people of all ages, interact with others in humility, to “seek the wellbeing of the other,” and to move forward with confidence.
The chapters are brief and packed with practical ideas and instruction. The authors include ideas from leaders inside and outside the Church, offering multiple ways for leaders to see and understand what it means to be an adaptive leader and how to shape an adaptive church. The book is rich with lists, diagrams, illustrations, clarifying questions, and frameworks, making the material easy to grasp. It is an excellent resource to share with leadership teams at every level of the local church and in denominational settings.
Gardens in the Desert is for laity, leaders, and clergy who have been feeling lost, immobilized, powerless?as exiles?and who are ready to do something new.

Signal Fire : A Guide To Putting Prayer Into Practice
$15.99Add to cartPrayer is the key to knowing and communicating with God, unlocking a lifelong faith and being the primary bedrock of Christian faith.
Signal Fire explores the myriad of different ways in which we can connect with God, both together and alone. This handy guide provides opportunities to try out different aspects of prayer, equipping young people with a prayer life of their own.
Prayer is a refuge in times when everything else is failing; it’s a compass when we’re lost and a firework when we’re joy-struck. Prayer is the subject of a thousand distinct metaphors, and they’re all both true and insufficient. Why? Because prayer is direct connection with God, and the pathway to making sense of life itself.
Signal Fire encourages young people to develop a life of prayer and connection with God and invest in this key practice of lasting faith. Martin Saunders, Director of Innovation at Youthscape, writes an accessible and practical book for teenagers with some points for reflection and discussion at the end of each chapter.
This book can be used alone by a young person or used by youth workers to work through with a group.

*fuimos creados para reinar con Cristo;
*Dios ha hecho y cumplira sus promesas
*el cielo tiene un calendario; y
*a los hijos de Dios les espera una era dorada, el milenio.En un mundo lleno de tensiones politicas, pruebas personales y turbulencias internacionales, nos sentimos atraidos por explorar que ocurre a continuacion en la linea temporal del cielo. Tanto si los lectores se encuentran en el bando de “no puedo esperar”, “estoy casi preparado” o “no estoy seguro de todo esto”, se sentiran animados a reflexionar sobre los planes y promesas de Dios para el futuro. Con el caracteristico estilo alentador de Max, nos recuerda: “Todo es cuestion de esperanza. Todo gira en torno a El”.
What Happens Next
Are we living in the end times? If so, what does that mean for me? Max Lucado’s optimistic, accessible, and non-sensational guide to what the Bible says about heaven’s timeline will empower readers to face the future with faith.
Seven years of chaos called the Tribulation. A cruel and cunning Antichrist. The dreaded battle of Armageddon. These images and ideas associated with prophecy can be stimulating but also unnecessarily scary. Max Lucado believes God wants us to be prepared, not scared. In his first book exploring the end of this age, Max provides a wise, well-researched, and reassuring overview of what God’s Word has to say on a topic that often creates confusion and anxiety.
In What Happens Next Max explores four big ideas that will prov

More Messy People Womens Bible Study Participant Workbook (Student/Study Guide)
$17.99Add to cartGod can use imperfect people to do incredible things.
Jen Cowart continues her study of the very messy lives of biblical heroes?people who, like us, made mistakes but found God was able to use them in powerful ways. They all play a significant role in the biblical narrative, but their stories are far from perfect.
Through the lives of rival sisters like Leah and Rachel, or sisters with very different personalities like Martha and Mary, we see God chooses to use people who don’t have it all together. Through the lives of great, but imperfect, biblical heroes like Moses, Elijah, Peter, and Paul, we see God meets us in our troubles and chooses us even if we seem unqualified.
The participant workbook includes five daily readings for each week, combining study of Scripture with personal reflection, application, and prayer and is designed to use with the leader guide and DVD.

How To Talk With Anyone About Anything Workbook (Workbook)
$19.99Add to cartIn this complementary workbook to How to Talk with Anyone about Anything, New York Times bestselling authors Dr. Harville Hendrix and Dr. Helen LaKelly Hunt give applicable tips on how to have Safe Conversations with everyone.
For centuries, our methods of communication have resulted in disagreement, which has led to frustration, anxiety, and anger. Conversations have become angry, anxious ones. We see polarization not only in our personal lives and work environment, but certainly in the political arena. Clearly, the world needs a new communication method so people can talk to each other successfully.
In the How to Talk with Anyone about Anything workbook, Harville and Helen share the wisdom of Safe Conversations and four skills that are structured and teachable:
*Dialogue: practice shifting from monologue to dialogue to foster safety and collaboration
*A commitment to zero negativity: convert frustrations into requests by focusing on what they should do, and not on what they shouldn’t do
*Developing empathy for one another: shift from criticizing by accept one another’s different perspectives
*Affirmations: transform conflict to connection by using “affirmation” more often in a relationship
How to Talk with Anyone about Anything offers the keys to unlocking your ability to communicate with others in a new and profoundly different way. And as more of us hone that ability, together, we can bring about a shift in society away from polarization and toward true connection.
This workbook is not a stand-alone product. How to Talk with Anyone about Anything is needed for the complete experience.

Engaging Jesus With Our Senses
$49.99Add to cartJesus took on flesh–he was embodied. And the Gospels use multisensory language to reveal that his teaching, ministry, and interactions with people engaged the senses. Consider the raging storm on the Sea of Galilee, the perfume filling the house as Mary anointed Jesus’s feet, the significance of touch as Jesus healed people. Jesus even described himself in sensory terms–as the bread of life, the light of the world, the vine to whom his disciples are connected. Our physical senses are crucial to gaining knowledge of the world around us. Yet when it comes to Bible reading, we often reduce it to a mere cognitive experience, ignoring the Psalmist’s invitation to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
This book offers a fresh way to read the Gospels with an emphasis on embodiment, focused on a life abiding in Christ. The goal is a greater, more tangible knowledge of God. Jeannine Hanger points to the importance of engaging our physical senses in Bible reading, shows an approach to doing so with an emphasis on sparking the imagination, and looks at how utilizing our primary senses plays out in reading the Gospels. Each chapter includes sensory practices and questions for personal reflection. The book includes a foreword by Grant Macaskill.

Only Like That Matters Is Gods
$26.99Add to cartDoes consuming the scroll leave you feeling empty? Escape the shackles of social media and turn to Christ to set you free.
By using the Bible as your handbook, you can glorify God through how you present yourself, consume, and operate on social media, regardless of your social media status.
Former sports broadcaster Teryn Gregson, who faced public persecution for her faith, approaches the hard to discuss depths of the cultural lies perpetuated on social media. By studying, through scripture, how God delivered the Israelites when they fell into the trap of comparison, or how Jesus overcame cancel culture by rising from the dead three days later. We too can learn to defeat that which consumes us, with the help of the Holy Spirit. In addition to chapter devotionals to dive deeper individually or as a group, the book also faces, head-on, promiscuity masked as Instagram modeling, how that affects our young men & women and what it looks like to truly lay it all on the line for your faith, aside from the picture-perfect profiles online.
Each chapter concludes with devotionals that readers can fill out and use as supplemental learning for bible study groups and everyday life. Adding an interactive element to the book, the devotionals utilize various tools to engage readers, including:
*Scripture studies
*Life-Application Challenges
*Digital Detox Exercises
*Screentime Recommendations
*Prayers
*And more!We can transform our lives on social media when we find joy in truly knowing the only “like” that matters is God’s. His “like” is all we need. We don’t deserve it, we can’t earn it. He gives us all His “likes” for free.

Prophets Beyond Activism
$30.00Add to cartProphets beyond Activism insightfully challenges the common progressive narrative that the prophets of ancient Israel were primarily concerned with social justice. Instead it daringly offers more life-giving ways of engaging the prophetic books for the causes of justice.
The assumption that the prophets of ancient Israel were primarily concerned with social justice so permeates the thinking and the discourse of progressive Christianity that it might be considered an interpretive orthodoxy. For example, progressives characterize prophets as those who speak truth to power and “prophetic preaching” as social critique. Yet, they often do so without explanation or consideration of alternative views.
In this volume, Julia O’Brien challenges the notion that the prophets were solely concerned with the same issues as contemporary social justice movements. Reading prophetic texts with an eye to their historical dimensions-when they were written, how they were edited-complicates any definitive statement about the role of prophets in the past. Reading alongside readers from diverse racial, gender, and other social locations in the present raises hard questions about whose justice these books actually promote. Despite its self-presentation as a scholarly and scientific viewpoint, the “prophets as social activists” orthodoxy was constructed in a particular time and place and in its usage today perpetuates many of the problematic ideologies of its origins. In response to these concerns, O’Brien offers alternative readings of the prophets for the sake of justice. Chapters explore the value of Amos and Micah for contemporary economic ethics; the dynamics of inclusivity and exclusivity in Isaiah; opportunities for reading Jeremiah as the voice of a community rather than a solitary figure; and the limits of Second Isaiah’s creation theology for addressing the climate crisis.
This is a wide-ranging volume, interweaving careful readings of biblical texts within their literary and historical contexts, the history of prophetic interpretation, and attentiveness to feminist, womanist, and postcolonial voices, including engagement with contemporary thought such as trauma theory and intersectional analysis of the climate crisis. Prophets beyond Activism calls readers to a more honest and humbler activism, speaking in their own voices about the demands and possibilities of justice.

Against The Flow
$40.99Add to cart‘Then King Darius sent this message to the people of every race and nation and language throughout the world: “I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever.”‘ (Daniel 6.25-6)
The book of Daniel tells the story of four teenage friends, born in the tiny state of Judah about twenty-six centuries ago, who were captured by Nebuchadnezzar, emperor of Babylon. Daniel describes how they eventually rose to the top echelons of imperial administration.
Although forced to live in exile, Daniel and his friends remained faithful to the one true God. But they did not simply treat their devotion to God as a private matter; they maintained a high-profile witness in a pluralistic society highly antagonistic to their faith. That is why their story has such a powerful message for us. Society tolerates the practice of Christianity in private and in church services, but it increasingly deprecates public witness. If Daniel and his compatriots were with us today they would be in the vanguard of debate about the role of religion in public life.
What was it that gave that ancient foursome, Daniel and his three friends, the strength and conviction to be prepared, often at great risk, to swim against the flow?

What It Means To Be Protestant
$22.99Add to cartThese days many evangelicals are exploring the more sacramental, liturgical, and historically-conscious church traditions, including Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. This hunger for historical rootedness is a welcome phenomenon–but unfortunately, many assume that this need can only be met outside of Protestant contexts.
In What it Means to Be Protestant, Gavin Ortlund draws from both his scholarly work in church history and his personal experience in ecumenical engagement to offer a powerful defense of the Protestant tradition. Retrieving classical Protestant texts and arguments, he exposes how many of the contemporary objections leveled against Protestants are rooted in caricature. Ultimately, he shows that historic Protestantism offers the best pathway to catholicity and historical rootedness for Christians today.
In his characteristically charitable and irenic style, Ortlund demonstrates that the 16th century Reformation represented a genuine renewal of the gospel. This does not entail that Protestantism is without faults. But because it is built upon the principle of semper reformanda (always reforming), Protestantism is capable of reforming itself according to Scripture as the ultimate authority. This scholarly and yet accessible book breaks new ground in ecumenical theology and will be a staple text in the field for many years to come.

Priests Of History
$19.99Add to cartHow can Christians engage meaningfully with history?
In an age underpinned by the idea that life is about self-invention and fulfilment, contemporary Western culture holds that the past has little to teach us. We live in what this book terms the “Ahistoric Age,” in which we are profoundly disconnected from history.
In the attempt to appear relevant, the church often embraces this ahistoric worldview by jettisoning the historic ideas and practices of Christian formation. But this has unintended consequences, leaving Christians unmoored from history and losing the ability to grapple with its ethical complexities.
In Priests of History, Sarah Irving-Stonebraker draws upon her expertise, and her experience as an atheist who has become a Christian, to examine what history is and why it matters. If Christians can learn how to be “priests of history,” tending and keeping our past, history can help us strengthen and revive our spiritual and intellectual formation and equip us to communicate the gospel in a confused and rootless world.

Relaxed : Walking With The One Who Is Not Worried About A Thing
$19.99Add to cartWe often try to do a lot for God–without him. Relaxed is a call to let go of spiritual performance, reject our cultural tendency to live under pressure, and find freedom to walk with God and toward God, one gentle step at a time.
Jesus was never in a hurry to be anywhere other than where he was, trusting and obeying his Father. Could the same be said of us? We long to know peace, purpose, and contentment, but life’s stresses, the world’s discouragements, and our own striving for growth get in the way.
In Relaxed, pastor and teacher Megan Fate Marshman explores what it means to set aside our addiction to trying to figure everything out and relish a slower, compelling, powerful, and relaxed life with God. As Megan takes us word by word through Proverbs 3:5-6, she helps us discover:
*The joy of a continual, intimate relationship with God
*What God calls us to do with the burden of shame and guilt
*What it looks like to be relaxed in the midst of grief, financial stress, mistakes, and fatigue
*The freedom and forgiveness of being found “in Christ”
*How to incorporate rhythms of walking with God into our everyday routinesGod never intended for us to be in control. As we lean away from our own understanding and into an intentionally relaxed spiritual life, we join Jesus in trusting a God who knows what he is doing–and isn’t worried about a thing.

In Can I Say That?, Brenna Blain brings her fresh voice to those who feel unsafe or unwelcome in the church, acknowledging the incongruity between the church’s actions and believers’ lived experiences. Tending The Wild Garden
$20.00Add to cartIn a world fixated on outward appearances, discover the joy of cultivating an inward relationship with the Spirit, where virtues like love, joy, and self-control blossom naturally.
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” – Galatians 5:22-23a
The apostle Paul paints a beautiful picture when he describes the fruit of the Spirit but all too often, we reduce this list of virtues into a checklist of attributes to pursue and strive for. However, pastor and author Eugenia Gamble contends that this understanding is backwards. The Holy Spirit is the One who grows and develops those attributes within us as we pursue our relationship with God. By tending that relationship, the virtues of God develop and blossom as a fruit grows on a well-tended tree.
Tending the Wild Garden explores the true meaning behind each of the virtues in Paul’s list, guiding us to discover anew what it means to be a deeply loved child of God indwelt by God’s Spirit. Gamble helps us to move beyond the checklist mentality of traditional understandings of the fruit of the Spirit, to cultivate our relationship with God, and to uproot the “weeds” that could threaten the flourishing of the fruit in our lives.
Key Features of this Bible Study:
*Ten Chapters/Sessions introduce the garden and explore each of the nine aspects of the fruit of the Spirit
*Six daily devotions in each chapter with daily Scripture, reflections, and spiritual practices
*Questions for personal and group discussion
Let the fruit of the Spirit be more than just words on a page-they’re the living expressions of God’s love within you. Dare to cultivate a life overflowing with love, joy, peace, and so much more.

Gods Gift Of Generosity
$28.00Add to cartGod’s Gift of Generosity is ideal for pastors who must engage in one of the most uncomfortable tasks of their role: asking people for money.
Why does generosity matter, and why should we give back to God?
Tailored specifically for pastors and lay leaders navigating the delicate task of stewardship, this insightful book transcends the mundane “how” of giving to explore the profound “why” behind our acts of generosity.
In this book Travis skillfully discusses the essence of generosity in three thought-provoking sections. Initially, he invites readers to ponder “what” generosity truly entails, painting a vivid picture of God’s boundless generosity woven throughout the entirety of Scripture. From there, he considers the “so what” question, confronting the challenges of practicing generosity today in a world consumed by materialism and acquisition. Finally, in the enlightening “now what” segment, Travis offers a practical roadmap for church leaders, equipping them with the tools and insights needed to navigate stewardship campaigns with grace and confidence.
With a blend of scholarly insight, heartfelt conviction, and practical advice, God’s Gift of Generosity serves as a beacon of wisdom and encouragement for those seeking to cultivate a spirit of generosity in their congregations, encouraging all to celebrate the timeless nature of God’s generosity and translate its profound truths into tangible, transformative actions in our contemporary world.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance.

Tablets Shattered : The End Of An American Jewish Century And The Future Of
$32.00Add to cartFrom esteemed journalist Joshua Leifer, a definitive look at the history and future of American Jewish identity and community from the tipping point we are living in.
Tablets Shattered is Joshua Leifer’s lively and personal history of the fractured American Jewish present. Formed in the middle decades of the twentieth century, the settled-upon pillars of American Jewish self-definition (Americanism, Zionism, and liberalism) have begun to collapse. The binding trauma of Holocaust memory grows ever-more attenuated; soon there will be no living survivors. After two millennia of Jewish life defined by diasporic existence, the majority of the world’s Jews will live in a sovereign Jewish state by 2050. Against the backdrop of national political crises, resurgent global antisemitism, and the horrors of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, Leifer provides an illuminating and meticulously reported map of contemporary Jewish life and a sober conjecture about its future.
Leifer begins with the history of Jewish immigrants in America, starting with the arrival of his great-grandmother Bessie from a shtetl in Belarus and following each subsequent generation as it conformed to the prevailing codes of American Jewish life. He then reports on the state of today’s burning Jewish issues. We meet millennial Jewish racial justice organizers, Orthodox political activists, young liberal rabbis looking to “queer” the Torah through exegesis, Haredi men learning full-time at the world’s largest yeshiva, progressive anti-Zionists attempting to separate Judaism from nationalism, and right-wing Israeli public intellectuals beginning to imagine a future without American Jews.
As it traverses today’s Jewish landscape through uncommon personal familiarity with the widest range of Jewish experience, Tablets Shattered also charts the universal quest to build enduring communities amid historical and political rupture.
