  • Whisper Of War

    $7.95

During a chat with ghost friend Corporal Jared Scott, Casey brings up an idea that Philip, Zach, and Chucky think is ridiculous: women fighting in the Civil War! But Jared tells them he knows just such a woman, and now Casey wants to meet her.

Casey gets her wish, but afterwards she feels led to help Althea get the answers she needs to rest in peace. Casey’s quest for those answers takes her to books and through email to an historical society. What she finds not only helps Althea, it teaches Casey what the boys have already learned. The road to the past always begins in the present.

  • Soldier In The Cellar

    $7.95

“Why don’t you read it?” the soldier said. He was frustrated. Chucky could tell. He looked at Chucky with so many lines over his eyes that his forehead looked like a plowed field.

“I don’t know what you mean,” Chucky said. “Read what?”

“The letter I left. It’s right here and I’ve been asking someone to read it.”

Aunt Penny is moving into an old house in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Philip and Zach, along with their friend Chucky, help Aunt Penny move in. Elbow grease can clear the house of dust and the yard of weeds, but it will take some investigating and ghostly help to clear the root cellar of its frightening secret.

  • Ghost On Board

    $7.95

Philip, Zach, and Chucky take an evening stroll around the campground to make sure everyone knows about the jamboree taking place on the center grounds, when they hear a loud banging. They find old Mr. Creach, who’d just come in that morning, yelling at something or someone to “Stop it!” There doesn’t seem to be anyone around though. Later, at the jamboree, Mr. Creach acts very afraid and complains that “It’s following me!”

A few days later, when no one has seen the old man, the three boys begin an investigation that puts them into Creach’s rusted RV, which begins to shake and rock as if there were an earthquake. As it stops, a cool air falls over the boys and their hearts begin to pound with apprehension. They’ve been through this before! What…or who…has taken up residence in old Mr. Creach’s outdated camper?

  • Ghost Comes Out

    $5.95

Chucky, Zach, and Philip decide to plant a garden after Mr. Baxter tells them they can sell the produce in the Cavalry Ridge Campground General Store. If they save enough money they might be able to buy the dazzling new Swiss camping knife that has just come in.

While digging in the garden plot, Chucky unearths an old relic. It looks like a coin, but it’s not. The three friends pass around the piece of metal, rubbing off dirt and trying to read the inscription. Suddenly, the air grows cool and a shadow falls across the garden. The boys feel their skin begin to tingle, and a heaviness settles over them. The fuzzy, disjointed shape of a man begins to form before their eyes. What has Chucky dug up?
