If God Be For Us was birthed out of preparing a message for a Sunday service. The message was concerning how each time it is mentioned in the book of Acts that God’s people were “of one accord,” God moved in very demonstrative ways. Preparing for the message made me take a closer look at how powerfully God moved in Acts and how it is not the same in the Church today. I began to contemplate the reasons why the people were “of one accord” then and not as much now. I began to wonder if part of our problem is how we believe. Perhaps some of our belief structures need to be reexamined along with going back to the basics of the Word. This book is important because it challenges us to examine how we view God, particularly from the standpoint of His being for us, His love for us, and His goodness toward us. Many of us say these things because we are supposed to and because that is what we are told, but do we really believe it? This book is different in the presentation of the above, as it primarily uses Scripture to interpret Scripture. It is not focused on the hype of God being for us; it is focused on the truth of God being for us.
